Assassin's Creed ++++++++++++++ MEMORY BLOCK 1 ++++++++++++++
Okay, after learning of the sci-fi twist in this game, just watch the events that unfold and do as you're told until you are put in a hazy looking place. Just run forward and then the tutorial will start. Listen closely and then you will enter a sequence where you learn the controls. Press the head button and look at each group of people around you. Then walk forward while pressing the "gently push" button to walk through the jar-people. Then press the button that changes your profile (which changes what the buttons on the HUD do). You will notice the low profile actions are acceptable, while the high profile actions will get you into trouble.
Next will be a simple push, so go into high profile and grab the dude, then toss him. Then you will sprint, which you must run off as soon as you can to beat the other guy. Next you will go kill a guy, so do it. Run into the guy that come along, go up the ladder, and then hide in the little garden.
After learning of the things you can hide in, just hold the blend button down and walk past the bad guys. Then you learn of a new ability called Eagle Vision. Then you learn of three rules: 1. Leave innocent people alone, 2. Be discreet, 3. Don't jeopordize the clan. Then just wait for the first level to get rolling.
When you see a glitch, press a button to change perspective (you know, because it's suppose to be you, you wouldn't normally have memories from others, that is why it's a glitch). Move forward and when you hit the gap press and hold the two buttons and simple press forward to jump along the beams. Do this again and then up the ladder.
*NOTE: Glitches are when the screen kinda messes up, like static. You only get a few moments after to press any button. I won't point out every glitch, so you will either recognize the static yourself, or you will watch all the cutscenes from boring angles.*
Do a low profile kill and then move to the ledge for a bit of a scene. After, just use the ladders to hit the floor and walk over to the other guys. Then lock on and press the assassinate button to get the next scene. On the other side, just hold the two buttons and move up the area by either the left or right pathways. These same buttons are used to run up walls, so do that when near the exit. Then make a slow climb up a wall to fast forward in memory.
*NOTE: Whenever the screen goes to this empty haze area, just wait for the loading to be done. It's essentially a load screen.*
*NOTE: Also, now is good time as any to mention that for those of you with the instruction manual, thumb through it for the comments made by Dr. Vidic. It will possibly confuse, but you can see something is seriously up with this game.*
====== Masyaf ======
Status: Return to Al Mualim
After you talk with the man in the village, make your way to the hill toward the castle. So long as you don't mess with the guards or kill anyone along the way, you should just run up the path. You will run into another friend near the gate. Then enter the fort, where weapons are no-no's, and then go inside the builing and up the stairs to meet the dude.
Status: Defend Village
After the chat, run back down the trail to the village. When you finally run into guys with blades, press the lock-on button, then press the high profile button so that the counter move is available. This move is the best way to kill bad guys. Just wait for them to attack, then press the counter to watch a very cool little deathscene. Just repeat this as you make your way back to the start point. Everyone will retreat when you get down to the bottom.
Status: Remove the Templars from Masyaf
Move forward and toward the target on your map. Go up the ladder nearby to reach your friend. Follow him to the top, and then stand on the platform to the right. Then watch.
*NOTE: During this cutscene will be many glitches, so if you see a little static go across the screen, press any button to view the event. Just in case you haven't realized there won't be a sign pointing out a glitch.*
Once you are the center of attention, do the leap of faith and you land safely in some hay. Jump out and go meet the other two. Then come back to find the beam across the gap. Follow these beams, which you can somewhat run across, and then you will hit a wall. You can't just go straight up, so move around and find little points that you can use to climb; you would be surprised what you can climb up and how you can climb. At the tower, go to the right and slash at the wall to shatter the enemy army. Then just watch.
========
When you have control back, go to the right and into the bathroom to interact and listen to the conversation. Come back out after and wait for the doctor to go away, then you can talk with the girl to learn some backstory, and you can ask a question before going to bed too. Enter the bed room on the right and then go to bed.
When awake, go to the front of the slab and go back to the past.
++++++++++++++ MEMORY BLOCK 2 ++++++++++++++
Status: Investigate and find Masyaf's traitor
*NOTE: You can press any button during this kind of cutscene to change the camera angle, to be more cinematic.*
Well, after the scene you will get a series of messages outlining which abilities you have lost - pretty much all of them, including the counter kill (cry now).
Walk down and out of the fort to run into a guy along the way. Return to the bottom of the hill, then look north and go left to the market. When you get close to the target, go set on the bench and lock on, or the other way around, and then listen to the conversation.
Now go to the east side of the village and get close to the target. Climb on the building and then press the lock-on button to listen to the conversation. After the two depart, follow the guy up the ways. Get close and pick his pocket without alarm.
Go up this path to find the next target preacking by a rail. Let him finish and then follow. He will stop in a dark spot in the corner. That is when you go high profile and then punch him a few times to make him talk.
Status: Speak with the Bureau leader in Damascus
Synchronizing Rank 1 Memory - sword and hidden blade
With a few of your toys back, head back to the village. You will get a chance to practice some swordplay, so try it out (the combo kill is nice, attack and then press attack as the sword hits to kill). Return to the village bottom and go out the open gates to find a trusty steed, either black or white. Jump on and start running down hte road.
Make the jump when you hit one and keep going. You will cross under some arches and then load the next area.
======= Kingdom =======
*NOTE: The most important thing to remember is that you can set your own marker on the map. This helps highlight objectives not on the minimap. It's the easiest way to know where you're going without following directions. Learn to use this well and the game almost plays itself.*
You are now in the Kingdom. Your first task is to claim the view point on top of the tower nearby. Just ride up, get off, and start climbing. After you get it, to a leap of faith off the beam to land in hay below. Now you are free to keep going.
When you hit a fork nearby, watch out for enemies in the area; go into eagle vision to see the red guys, or use the change in the light in the corner of your HUD. Get past them and take the path going east, simply because you can't go to the west side of this area.
*NOTE: Just stay away from enemies even though they clearly see you. They won't bother you unless you provoke them by getting too close or doint something you shouldn't be.*
*NOTE: Remember, if you do get spotted by anyone, just run around until they cannot see you, and then hide in some hay. No need to fight.*
When you hit a small village with another view point, you can just run up the tower and start climbing if you like, which does alert the guards. You could even go around the back and climb, so long as no one sees you. Either way, get to the top, synchronize, and then leap of faith off to vanish. You can now go view point hunting, or just head to Damascus, your call. I will go into the view points you can get here right now, so skip ahead if you just want to get on with the story.
*NOTE: Remember, blend to get by guards unnoticed, and once they can't see you you are free to climb.*
From this tower, go to the west to find a path leading up the mountain. Follow the long trail to the tower. Blend past the guards and then go up the side. You will also find a flag up here, then synchronize. Again, leap of faith off the beam. Then back down the trail.
*NOTE: Since that was the first mention of the flags, refer to my flag section if you want to tackle all 100 at this time. You can't get them all now, but you can get a bunch out of the way. Again, just as the view points, these flags are not mission-related, so skip if you don't care.*
Go back to the second view point in this village and then go around it to find the path leading down to another/other part of the village. Go around the path until you find a path leading up, not the winding path leading up to some buildings. Follow the path to Damascus. If you try to go anywhere else you will not be able to go.
When you reach the village with the fourth view point, just go around the back to avoid the many men in the road and get up there. Keep heading north to the next village with the next tower. This area is more like an enemy camp, so just stay away from the guards. Go through the camp and on your way to Damascus, see, the view points were easy.
======== Damascus ========
Status: Climb a view point, 0/6 investigations
*NOTE: The best way to get around is by the rooftops. If you do get spotted and are being chased, get up to the roofs and find a garden to hide in.*
*NOTE: Now that combat is a factor, I will remind you how to do the quick kill just in case someone doesn't quite have it down. You will attack, press attack as the blade hits, and then do it one more time and that should do the kill animation. Just stay with it for two hits and then the animation should go, and it's well worth it every time.*
Make your way down the path to the city. Near the gate you will get a message about saving a citizen. Get off your horse, walk over there, and lock-on to a guard. Start fighting and then lock-onto the citizen you just saved. Then you will be showed some scholars walking. Blend with them to walk into the city. Just go over to them and press blend, no need to hold, and just wait for the "ride" to get you in, then exit the blend.
To the right will be another poor sap in trouble, so do some slashing (remember the quick kill move) and then talk with him. Should be some scholars to hide with after it's over, so blend with them until you're back to green.
Now go to the east by the wall until you run into some vigilantes and another poor citizen in trouble. Save her and then you can use the v-men to cover your escape, but probably no one will be chasing you.
Your goal is to get to the view point, but if you run into citizens in peril along the way, help them out. Right now, make your way to the view point to the south of the gate, the only one on your map. Once you do you can look to the map to see all there is in the poor district.
You should see a pickpocket marker on the map, so go to the narrow market and lock-onto the target from a distance. Follow him down the market path and pick his pocket to complete one investigation.
You can now find more citizens in danger if you want. Getting the first view point to the east of the gate will reveal another pickpocket mission. After you do it you can go to the bureau leader with what you've learned. You can do this but I will still list the remaining view points and missions.
Status: Return to bureau leader
If you go to the nearby view point, the last on the east, you will reveal an eavesdropping mission. Before you do this, you should be able to save yet another citizen nearby (gee, they could have separated these out a bit more). After, lock-on to the guys, sit on the bench, and then press listen.
Now start taking the three view points along the south rim of the poor district. The first one to the east, by a gate, will not reveal any missions, but it does have a guy at the top. The next one to the west will have a citizen nearby, and this view point will reveal an eavesdropping mission. Do it to learn of some beams in the courtyard.
Go directly south after to get the sixth view point. No rewards for it. Now go a bit north to tackle the view point atop the mosque (I hope that is a mosque because I don't want to offend anyone). I was able to use the windows to get on top of the main building, and from there jump to the tower.
Only two more. The one to the southwest should reveal both an interrogation and an eavesdropping mission. Do the interrogation first. When you arrive at the speech-givers platform, walk past the guards and sit on the bench nearby, then lock-on. After he starts walking, get up and follow. Once he's in the dark alley, start punching away. There should also be another citizen in danger to the south.
Now for the eavesdropping mission. Go to the open square, sit on a bench, and then listen in. With all the investigations complete, go north and up the building to get to the last view point tower. All that should be left are a few citizens to save. You can just run around the whole map and look for the citizen markers on your onscreen map.
Make your way to the southwest of the map to find the bureau. Get on the roof and jump down from the opening. Go talk with the leader inside and explain the situation. Then Animus will fast forward you.
*NOTE: If you decided to get all six investigations you will have a better chance at this target.*
Status: Assassinate Tamir ( MEM2TAM )
Climb out the way you came and start the rooftop jumping to the northeast. When you get near the target, drop down to the streets and walk into the square, where the game turns into one of those sorta-cutscenes where all you can do is move. Be sure to hit the glitches. Move toward the two men talking and just stand by the crowd looking. Be very aware of the glitches so you can get the full enjoyment out of this cutscene.
After that and you get full control back, make sure your hidden blade is on. You can just run up to Tamir and assassinate him, simple as that; if you do get caught, just let them kill you and try again. And remember to gently move through the crowd or your cover may be blown, but dash when you have an open shot. Then you go into an odd cutscene with more glitches that you must use if you want full enjoyment.
Okay, so after you're back, run up a wall nearby and get to the roof. Your goal now is to lose the men chasing you and to find a garden when no one sees you. It's not too tough, so just run far, make good jumps, and get in a garden when no one is around. Let things cool down and then come out, but you will probably be spotted again. So just make another dash to a garden. That should be enough, but if you are spotted again just hide in another garden. Just make your way back to the bureau and be sure you are in the green before you drop back inside. Then go meet the leader. Then you fast forward and then it's back to the real world.
===========
Talk with the girl yet again if you like, and you can ask quite a few questions with vague answers. Then you can go to the computer nearby and visit Lucy's mailbox. Miss Stillman has nothing much interesting in her email, so exit when done and go to bed.
Go follow the doc after you awake for a conversation. Then go lie down on the Animus to get back to the good old days.
++++++++++++++ MEMORY BLOCK 3 ++++++++++++++
====== Masyaf ======
Status: Go to either Acre or Jerusalem
Synchronizing Rank 2 Memory - short blade and counter kill (now stop crying)
After speaking with Al Mualim and getting the counter kill back, go down the steps to see that the courtyard at the back is now open. More flags if you are looking too. Then head out the fort to run into another training session. We already discussed the counter kill, but you can practice here in caes you forgot, or never knew how to begin with.
Now get to the bottom of the village and out the gates with a horse, and go to the Kingdom area. I call my horse Barthalamule.
======= Kingdom =======
Basically, just pick a city and go, but since I'm calling the shots, let's all listen to me. Head west toward Acre and to the sixth view point. Just go around and climb the tower from the back, then leap of faith like so many times prior.
The village below is heavy into guards, so stay away from them as best you can. As you move through the village, remember not to bump into too many people or they will rat you out. Just stroll through and head up the path to Acre to the east.
Take the low road when you reach a fork and head south to avoid the guards, but you pretty much have to blend the whole way, or just run past and hide in the first hay stack you see. You should end up at view point seven. Ascend and sync up. Doing the leap of faith from up here is the best way to get over the fence here, because you can't hop over the spikey fence on the ground.
You can go south and then west at the next fork, but there are more view points and more flags if you go east. So let's do that. The next view point is to the east. When you get there you notice an increased guard presence than the last view point tower. Go to the shadow of the tower, where you will also find a flag, and ascend from this darker side with less enemies around.
If you can manage, blend past the checkpoint (if you can somehow neutralize the guard on the tower). Otherwise, take the longer road east at the back of this village. You should arrive at some ruins, so speed north before anyone spots you.
The next view point will be the first one you have to fight for, there is no other way past the guys than to fight, unless you want to run and hide, but that's no fun. Target the view point and then find it with your eyes. Go to the left of it to find a trail leading alond the cliff. There will be four guards, so engage them, but then run around them toward the cliff edge by the tower. From here you will use both the counter kill and the grab and toss. The counter kill works as well as you think, but if you can toss a lot of dudes over the cliff, that is even funner. Trust me, tossing all them is possible, so do it quick before they overwhelm you. After the fight, go claim the tower.
From the ruins area, go east toward Jerusalem, but then get off on the route that leads to toward Damascus, but you are just wanting the two view points. The many guards will probably be out to get you, so elude capture as best you can. The first view point poses a new challenge because there are watchtowers with archers that will attack you. Your best move is to climb a tower, kill that archer, and from that side of the tower you can climb. In fact, if you are flag searching, you need to clear out all the towers in this village or you will be running away a lot.
From this village closest to Jerusalem, go north to the next view point on the way to Damascus. You'll notice that the trail here is covered in guards, so either blend or dash past and hide to get by. Make your way along the path to the 11th view point, which should leave only the one by Acre. Just go to back of this tower overlooking a river, climb up the ladder, and sync up.
Now go all the way southwest to the view point by the exit to Acre. An easy one too. Nearby is a village, but you are free to go to the city now that you have all the view points in Kingdom. In this village is a camp where you can go to town on a bunch of enemies and claim a bunch of flags; 360 owners can get closer to some of the the killing achievements, such as the counter kill one, which is the best way to get through this camp. If you have no desire, then off to Acre with ya.
==== Acre ====
Status: 0/6 investigations complete
Go up the dreary path toward the gate. Like before, save the citizen outside, which will involve a lot of counter-killing, and then use the scholars to get in Acre.
As soon as you're in and arrive at the fountain, depart from the scholars and go sit on the bench to th left. Lock-on to the guys by the fountain and then listen. Now go to the view point very nearby, which is very short too and then you reveal the lay of the city. Should be a citizan in peril nearby.
Moving through this city is a constant pain because of all the guys on the rooftops, which they will spot you. This might good reason to move through the streets, unless you don't mind clearing out the skies.
Take the only view point to the north. You will notice that not only are these view points low to the ground, but they are guarded well. Assassinate some of the guards, but don't be afraid to start climbing; remember that the leap of faith will get you hidden.
Go to the nearby view point to the southeast that is not near the district border (it's lightly guarded). This should reveal a pickpocket mission to the south. Stand at a distance and then listen to the conversation. Follow him soon after and quickly snatch the goods. Again, you're now done with the investigations, if you want to be. I will continue on with the rest of the objectives, so you are free to skip ahead. Remember, the more objectives you complete, the closer you get to gaining a block of health to the sync bar.
From here, head south to a view point by the bureau. This tower will be badly damaged, and it's also one of the taller ones yet. Another citizen to the west.
Run along the rooftops to the west to hit another view point; try to do running assassinations (like from the trailer) by running (not sprinting) and then pressing the attack button with your hidden blade to leap on the dudes and kill them quietly. After you sync up, you will see a pickpocket mission, but this one is sorta through a building. The big building has an alleyway of sorts that is blocked with guards at both ends. You can fight your way in, or find a hole in the roof to drop through, either way. Listen in and follow like before. The hole by the way, is at the western end of the roof, and you can use it to get out of this former prison.
There is now only one view point not touching the boundary of the district, and it should be to the west side of the map. Go there to find that it is more like a fortress tower, and there is an archer at the top. But nothing should be revealed.
Now head southwest to the corner of the map. This tower overlooks the side of the city that hangs over a cliff. Claim it to reveal an informer behind the building on the ground. Go lock-onto him to get a target from the informer. Go to the north, quietly and don't run into the Templar in a building or that will cause you to retry. He will be on the other side of this broken building, so hop over and quietly kill him, then make your way back to the informant.
Now to back east along the boundary to a church tower for the ninth view point. You reveal an interrogation mission on the steps below. Leap down and then stand in the shadow of the palm tree to lock-on. Follow him after his speech down the steps and then beat him up in the alley. So sad, you a cold-blooded son.
Now just two more view points on the eastern border of the map. Swing around the city and make your way to the southern one first. This view point is a new one, because it is right on the boundary. Get up the bell tower and then jump off. Now just go to the one to the north a bit and that will be it.
You get a new informant mission right by the hay cart after you leap of faith. Go talk with the man to learn that you need to find 20 flags in three minutes.
The first one is above on a balcony. Climb the building to get up there. From here you can go south and follow a path to the remaining flags, just know they are on your map and they do follow a path. You will swing back around to the same area. You may be able to start from the flags on the rails, but either way you are given like a whole spare minute, so no trouble; just take your time and don't skip any, use the map. Real easy if you've been roof jumping the whole game. After you complete the test talk with him to get some info.
Now make your way to the bureau with all the knowledge. Hop in through the roof however you wish, then talk with the leader to get the feather. Another fast forward.
Status: Assassinate Garnier ( MEM3GAR )
Go to the northwest toward the "hospital." You should notice that the citizens appear to get more "mentally challenged" the closer you get, so avoid. When you near the entrance from the steps, get in with the group of scholars. Another one of those cool cutscenes, so move in with the crowd that forms around the well. Don't forget the glitches, and when not in a glitch be sure to move the camera to get a better view.
Oh man, that was not a pretty scene, nor cool; my knees hurt. Turn around and get back with your scholars on the right side (left of the entrance). Follow them all the way around until you see the big guy in your sights. But don't strike at the first moment you see him. There are two keys to this kill: there can be no retards nearby, and you must be patient. The fools in the area will blow your cover if they hit you, so you can never leave the blend with any nearby. And the scholars will keep going around and around the area, so there is no need to rush. You must wait for the doc to be away from the challenged ones and nearby, then unblend and go for a quick strike; no really, just lock- on, run, and attack to go into the movie scene.
Another one of those trippy little cutscenes with those glitches like before. When you come too, find a ladder on the western wall that gets you up to the catwalks above. Follow the beam, jump across a chandelier, follow the walkways and beams, and then jump out of a broken window. Now comes the part of just making a mad dash toward the bureau. I found it best to skip along to the southern border, then follow it to the bureau, and there was a group of scholars near the bureau that led me to the ladder to get to the roof. However you get there, hop down and deliver the feather.
=========
After you rest, you are given the option to fast forward. Do so unless you want to journey all the way to Masyaf yourself, and you don't. After the meeting you get more stuff back.
Synchronizing Rank 3 Memory - throwing knives and tackling
Status: Go to Jerusalem
Now back down to the stables and get on your mount. Back to the kingdom. There is nothing to do here this time around, so just make your way southeast to Jerusalem.
========= Jerusalem =========
*NOTE: For the mentally challenged in the cities, you can tackle them if you like.*
Status: 0/6 investigations completed
Well, you've done this twice already and you'll do it again. Make your way down the trail to the Kingdom of Heaven. When you reach the gate, get off your equine friend and go into the cemetery on the left. Run up, lock-on, and fast assassinate the guy standing in front. Then kill the rest with counter kills, or whatever. Talk with the man and you get your ride into the city, yet more scholars who seem to always show up on cue.
*NOTE: Now that you have knives, you will notice you have targets in the city that are not guards. These guys have pouches on their belts and you can pick those pockets for more knives. You can only hold 5.*
After you get inside, and maybe help a citizen nearby, go toward the church with the first view point. You can get on by a beam from the west. Go up and get the lay of the district.
After you leap, the interrogation target is the guy you've hearding rambling the whole time from the steps of the church. Get close and listen to the speech, then follow into a nearby alley. You may have to fight the knive- carrying dudes, but just land your blows on the target to be done with the fight.
Now look at the map of the district. There are two good columns of markers that are view points. We'll go in this order: 8 1 7 2 6 3 5 4
Start with #1 (the northern one in the center). Then go south for #2. #2 spits you an informant to the west. Go meet him to get two targets. Both at inside a massive market building. One is by the western entrance; he has yellow stripes on his clothes. Then the other will be patrolling around, so just lock-on, run, and do a quick strike assassination. Then quietly return to the informant to collect the info.
Now hop along the rooftops to view point #3. There will be a citizen nearby, so save that person if you wish. #4 is what I believe is that famous mosque (please don't hurt me if not) that is really in Jerusalem. You can climb the building using the window things with ledges. Then climb up to the dome and sync up; this is the first view point without a leap of faith, you can jump anyway if that makes you feel better.
#4 reveals two missions nearby. Go do the pickpocket nearby first. Then go see the informant in the market nearby. You have another flag fetching quest here. When you start, grab the flag on the rail nearby. Then follow the street up to the east to find a trail on the ground. Then follow the rooftops to the north. You will swing around a trail of rooftops (don't go for a Jerusalem cross when going up some buildings) and then follow the path back to a ladder which takes you back to the informant; trust me, the trail is simple so long as you stick to it.
After that, go to #5, or do some of the save citizen events. #5 reveals a pickpocket target nearby. You know what to do by now. Then head to #6, which is near the bureau. Get up and claim it; you climb it by the north face.
#7 is on another church, and it is around another dome. #8 is the last one for this district. The only way to get to the top of this tower is to scale the front of the church, the southern face, right in front of the guards. Then get up the bell tower by the same side. You can jump to the east for the leap of faith.
Your last view point reveals an eavesdropping mission inside the church. You have to kill the guards in front of the church to get in. This causes a ruckus, but you can just stroll in after the fight and sit on the bench to listen in. However, if you save the citizen outside the church (to the west) you can blend with the scholars and walk in without fighting.
After you have all the investigations done, go to the bureau and collect the death feather.
Status: Assassinate Talal ( MEM3TAL )
When you reach the northeast corner, pull out your map and find the nearby squad of scholars. Use them to get past the guards on the steps, or enter the area from the rooftops to the west. Either way, dodge the crazies on your way to the warehouse, and if you do use the scholars, they only go up the steps, so unblend when past the guards.
Just walk into the open doorway to begin the extended cutscene. Just move along the path and get the glitches. You end up in a room where you are surrounded. After you cutscene is over, start the fighting already. Just do your counter kills, but remember to grab guys and toss them away to make the group around you slightly smaller. After you kill the men on the ground, climb up the ladder and kill an archer on the upper level. Then take the ladder to the roof in pursuit.
*NOTE: Don't forget to use the tackle ability as you run to run fast and shove people out of the way.*
You need to run after him and try to lock-on for a leaping assassination, but if you can't you will chase him down to a certain point where you will fight him. Kill him anyway you can and then make your escape. You know how to get to the bureau, so do what you do. After you deliver the feather, it's back to reality
=========
Again, ask Lucy all the questions you want, up until you get the blow-off responses. That is your cue to go to bed. Oh yeah, the closet is open, if you care. Then it's wake up, talk a bit, then off to wonderland, again.
++++++++++++++ MEMORY BLOCK 4 ++++++++++++++
Status: Go to all three cities
Synchronizing Rank 4 Memory - Catch ledge and grab break
*NOTE: You catch a ledge by holding down the grab button.*
After the chat, go out the fort to do more practice. Practice the grab break and then get out, and you can practice the throwing knives too in case you missed that. Get to the Kingdom as you have before. You will get the option to fast travel to any city you want. Onto Damascus.
*NOTE: If you are collecting the King Richard Flags in Kingdom, the catch ledge ability allows you to get all of them. The final one in the ruins can only be attained by catching the ledge.*
======== Damascus ========
Status: 0/6 investigations, need 3 at least
You can go to the Bureau if you like to get verbal guidance of your next move, since there is no indication where you need to go. The next target is in the rich district of Damascus. So go west and you will find a huge building with multiple view points. There are three around the golden dome of this building. The one to the north is interesting because it's the most elaborate yet, and the tallest. That leap of faith will send chills up your back if you have any fear of heights.
I will take a new approach to the walkthrough from here on out. Since we all basically know how to go about and how to do these investigations (gosh I hope you do), then all I need to say is there are ten view points, and if you get all ten you will find all the target markers on the map to get all six investigations done.
*NOTE: Ah ha, this is the point! Right here people are thinking that the ten view points I mention will be on the map. You must use your eyes to find the remaining view points. Or perhaps it's somewhere else. I don't know, I guess I was supposed to hold the reader's hand throughout or something. You have a brain, use it and your eyes to find view points in any new district you visit.*
All you do need to know is that to get to the view point on the west edge of town, you must use beams over the guards in the archways to swing across. You have to do this in reverse to get back out of the military area.
Another thing, when going for the view point to the south, you need to find a structure inside the palace walls that is in the southeast corner. You climb up it, then along the wall, and then you should be able to find your way to the roof from there. Slay your way to the dome and sync up.
Other than that, the rest of the view points should be no trouble; they all have easy ways to get up there, even if it doesn't seem like it at first.
Once you have all ten view points under your belt, check your map to see that you have all the missions revealed and most of the save citizen events, if not all of them. You have two eavesdroppings to the north, two informants around the middle of the district, an interrogation to the west, and a pickpocket mission to the southwest.
The quests are just as you've done before, nothing new or challenging. There are just ten citizens in peril this time. Again, once you have all the view points you can just set markers on your map to any quest and go for it. No use in me constantly telling you what to do when using your map is much easier. The flag collecting in the military quarters is easy if you just take your time; the path is easy. When you get to the interrogation, you can't walk past the line of guards into the military area. You will have to use the beams in the gate to swing over the guards, then go get the guy in an alley.
Once you have all eight objectives complete (check the lit bars on the double- helix in the pause menu), then go back to the bureau for the feather.
Status: Assassinate Abu'l Nuqoud ( MEM4ABU )
Head back to the rich district and return to the palace to the south. This time the place will be full of people attending the party. Get within the walls and mix into the crowd. After you lose full control, be ready for the glitches as you have before. You can tell that things turn sour real quick, so just keep watching until you have to run.
Run left to the little structure in the corner. Use it to climb up and get to the second level. Make your way to the roof and then try to swing around to the south as if you will drop to his balcony to kill him, but you need to keep an eye on the minimap. If you see him start to leave his balcony, chances are he's trying to escape through the exit to the south. That is your cue to drop down there and chase him down for a quick kill. Remember to ignore the soldiers and just chase him down for a running assassination.
Then another cutscene par usual, and then it's off to the races. You will probably have to run quite a ways until you find a way onto the rooftops. Thanks to the lack of enemies on the roofs in the poor district, just get there and you're home free. Visit the bureau leader and then choose to fast forward to Masyaf.

Now make your way to the archway leading to Kingdom, but choose to zap to Acre (get the bad city out of the way).
==== Acre ====
Status: 0/6 investigations
You know how to get in, so do it. Once in, run through the streets and make your way to the bureau for some info. You need to enter the rich district, and he advises that you take the cathedral. There are support things attached to the sides of the roof that you can climb up; so if you are climbing up the wall, there will be skinny pillars you can jump and grab and then climb up. Kill the guys up here (a Templar too), and then up the steeple. Like for real, go all the way up, on top of the cross for a flag. Then sync and leap to the south for another long fall to safety.
Again, get one view point and you basically complete the rest of the district, all that is left is for you to set up the markers and go achieve the objectives throughout.
An informant mission to the north is only doable if you are patient and wait for no guards to be around. When you find a pickpocket inside a guarded mini- fort, enter from above. The interrogation target does not go down an alley, so just wait for him to be away from many guards and thugs. When you reach the informant in the square, just start up the street to the right of him and follow the path to the rooftops (these are not hard if anyone has that false impression by now). You know where to go after your investigation is done.
Status: Assassinate William de Montferrat ( MEM4MON )
Head toward the south end of the district, toward the castle. You will stop in the square out front, so stand with the crowd. Again, keep your eyes open for them glitches. After the scene, go through the gate.
The crate carriers are the bane of this mission, so avoid running into them at the cost of going slower. You may also find a group of scholars to the south, so jump in with them. Ride with them for a while and they should get you into the area where William is speaking. Wait for the line of soldiers to be broken, then unblend, run through the opening, and then strike.
After the scene, the escape is way hard. Run/tackle through the bad guys and run back toward the gates. They are closed, but run to the northeast corner of this fort into a dark alley. You should find a ladder by the wall. Take it, then jump and climb onto the corner building and get in the garden at the top. Don't stay around too long, jump out as soon as the coast is somewhat clear. You should be able to jump over the walkway on the wall, then hop down a series of wooden platforms and beams to get back into the city proper. Then it's just a case of getting to the rooftops. If you follow the eastern side of this district, you will either have to run through the streets, or go over the church; your call, but the church will take a long time.
Once safe, just fast forward to Masyaf again.

Make your way to the bureau to get pointed in the right direction.
Head south to the poor district. One good view point that you may not realize is one, this view point is almost directly south of the bureau on top of an archway. It's short and easy. The synagogue to the southeast is accessible from the northern face.
For the interrogation on the western border, you can just get the dude in the narrow path nearby. For a pickpocket target that goes behind a row of guards, use the beams above to get into that corner. The informant mission in the very bottom corner is the toughest yet. For the objective, two of the three will be easy, but the third is tough because of the increased awareness. You should consider killing the guards on the other side of the mosque before attempting the mission. Watch for the many special people who will blow your cover. Just remember to not do any leaping assassinations and you'll be fine, even better if you can wait for one to go a bit away from the area.
Once you get all the view points, citizens, and investigations, head back to the bureau and get your feather.
Status: Assassinate Majd Addin ( MEM4ADD )
Slip past the guards in the area and get to the marker. Another scene like you know, but try to make your way to the front of the crowd, and to the right side near the scholars.
After the scene is over, get in with the white robes and let the ride take you up right next to the guy you need to save. Sadly, you need to let the target kill the other three so that he will get close to your guy and closer to the group of scholars. Wait for him to get close and about to strike your fellow assassin, then strike.
*NOTE: You can try to strike and save any of the other prisoners, if you like and are fast enough. It doesn't matter, just make sure the guy in white does not die.*
Once the scene in the void is over, run north and up the ladder, or however you wish to escape, but you need to head north toward the bureau. There is a garden to the west of the bureau that will prove easy to hide in and then run into the bureau from. Then off to reality.

Status: 0/6 investigations
You know where you need to go, but go ahead and run by the bureau if you wish to hear some conversation.
Pretty much south of the bureau is a view point in the middle district, and it is real easy to get. The other six are easy grabs. Watch out though, you are now under even more watchful eyes and there are many more obstacles in your way, such as two beggars at once.
If you finished your view points by getting the one on the far east, you need to drop into the minifort for the eavesdropping. The pickpocket mission not far you should sit on the bench as you listen, so that the special people don't hit you, and then watch out after you start the picking. The timed informant mission to kill five targets is not as hard as it seems; just do quiet kills when no one is looking, no leaping kills. Let the interrogation go to the tiny pool and then start fightin'.
The informant mission with only three targets and three minutes is heck. But it's only harder than you make it out to be. The best thing to do is take the target in the open square (near the two beggars), then the one in the alley, and then climb up the building for the other. This only works if you are as fast as lightning.
Once you're done with all the objectives, return to the bureau.
Status: Assassinate Jubair ( MEM5JUB )
Go to the building and get up to the top however you can. Once you are on the locked building the screen should turn into that cutscene way. Walk along the roof and down the steps to a balcony where you will watch.
After they leave to go book burning, it's your job to find the one that is Jubair. Mine was the target in the southeast corner, but yours may be one of the others. If anything, just approach each as a separate assassination. Once you do find him, just chase him down for a leaping kill and then watch the scene.
Then it's just onto the rooftops and back to the bureau, same old same old. Just make it to the poor district where there are no roof guards.

To the east of the bureau is a view point in the middle district; good luck getting up without detection. There is a view point just nearby too. The lighthouse at the docks will be tough, but if you are spotted as you leap over the boats, just kill one guard to slow up your pursuers. The rest of the view points are easy.
For the investigations, nothing too bad, except for an usual eavesdropping mission. The interrogation by the docks is not hard, just beat him up on the side with least enemies. Both informant missions are nowhere near as bad as they seem, just be cool, be patient, and mostly you need to take the long ways around to get each target. Same old.
Status: Assassinate Sibrand ( MEM5SIB )
*NOTE: Be sure you have ten daggers, you may need them.*
Make your way into the docks, without detection if possible, and go to the circle of plebs. Watch the scene; that's too bad.
Watch as the dude in the horned helmet floats away on a boat. If you thumb through some of the information you have in the pause menu concerning this mission, you will know that the docks to the north are devoid of guards. So head north and you will find a dock with only citizens and drunks. Be sure to always avoid the drunks and gently push the crate carriers. You should be able to look east to see a platform in the water with a guard atop it; it's near the lighthouse. Wait for him to look away, then get close and toss a dagger at him. Now cross over the poles in the water to get to the lighthouse.
Kill the three under the lighthouse. You can kill the archer in the platform nearby, but you don't have to. Just hop along the boats, but you should notice the horned helmet will be moving around the deck of the ship. You can't just run up to the ship while he's looking, so wait for him look away and start hopping along to the ship. You should end up on the side of the ship, so just inch up to look to where Sibrand is moving. He should eventually walk up to the front of the ship and start talking. That is your cue to get up, run, and put him out.
After the scene, make your way back the path you came. Get over the side of the shop, line up with the pole, and then hop your way back to the lighthouse; kill the archer on the platform if you must. You don't have to go directly to the lighthouse, just get back on the dock, but take your time so you don't mess up, and no one is chasing you as of yet.
Just get out of the docks, perhaps by following the rooftops along the wall, and then take the rooftops in the city back to the bureau.

Off to Jerusalem.
========= Jerusalem =========
Status: 0/6 investigations
Go to the bureau, or just head to the middle district. Find a view point and you got the layout of the district.
To the north is a pickpocket. Get in the building using a nearby scholar group by saving a citizen; then just dodge the many loonies to do the mission. The informant mission in the center of the district has two good rules: start by going west, and make a path to each target so that you don't run back into areas with dead guys (and it may mean going a long way around to get back to the informant). The interrogation near a church is the longest yet, but don't be afraid to run to save health if a thug joins in; you can beat him up as soon as he's done talking. The other informant mission is surprisingly easy, since it's just two targets and one is alone on a roof. And you may miss a view point to the very east of the district, near where you saved a citizen.
Once you save all the people and get all the view points and do all the investigations, you will not only have every view point and citizen in the game under your belt, but you will also notice one extra bar on the double helix in the pause menu. Hmm. Return to the bureau leader to get this dude on ice.
Status: Assassinate Robert ( MEM6ROB )
Make your way to the very southwest of the district. There is a group of scholars to the south if you want, or find another way to the funeral. Once in, just stand with the crowd and watch.
Once it's over, get out your hidden blade for combat; yes, for combat. If you haven't used it before, you're in for a sharp learning curve right now. Not really, because all you do with the hidden blade is perform counter kills in combat, which are awesome. The reason you're doing it now is so that when Robert attacks, you can just instantly "kill" "him". Otherwise, just hack and slash until you take his life in battle, but the hidden blade will end this battle the moment he strikes and if you can counter kill with the blade.
Well, once the shocking twist is revealed in the usual cutscene, make your usual return to the bureau. Things are getting interesting all of the sudden.
Status: Ride for Arsuf and assassinate Robert
Head for the exit gate. Use the beams in the archway to get out undetected if the scholars are not around. Then get a steed and head for Kingdom. Never actually left a city, and it's been a while since we've been to Kingdom.
Just head west, ignoring the fact that every guard along the way will spot you. Be sure to not miss the trail, because there is a path parallel the Arsuf path that is blocked. So make the correct turn.
===== Arsuf =====
Status: Assassinate Robert
Snake down the path until you hit some archers by a cliff. Get off and toss all three over the side. Then run down the path to a tower. Kill the soldiers atop and then get over. Fight more on the other side. Then down the path is a big group, so kill them and move on. And don't be afraid to stop to regain health.
*NOTE: This is most likely where you get the Eagle's Challenge achievement on the 360, for killing 25 guys in a single fight.*
More fighting and then you hit a huge group. Just use the longsword to save health and remember to toss guys out of the way. It seemed like you could just attack and it worked more this fight than ever before. Cross over the tower to have a relatively small fight with some Englishmen. Then proceed to a cutscene.
Watch and hit the glitches. Move forward when the path opens. And then get ready to rumble!
You get one lesser fight with some grunts, which the hidden blade will speed up in combat. And then you get Robert. Again, get out the hidden blade, let him strike, counter kill, and the fight is over. Or waste a lot of time trying to beat him to death with a lot of sword strikes, your call.
Watch the familiar scene that reveals all. What a twist!
==========
After, it's back to real life. After more intrigue, talk with the girl. Then off to bed. Wake up and one more trip to dream land.
*NOTE: I'll bet I'm not the only one to just realize where the hidden blade is actually hidden.*
++++++++++++++ MEMORY BLOCK 7 ++++++++++++++
Status: Assassinate Al Mualim ( MEM7MUA )
*NOTE: Many readers point out that using the knives helps speed this fight up to its end.*
Just go up the village toward the fortress. You will fight one group of your former allies, so toss most off the cliff. Then another much bigger group will drop in, but you only need kill so many, then you get some assistance. Go up the path to meet your friends.
After the little chat, go up to the fort. Push through the mind drones and enter the fort. Go to the back courtyard and watch the scene.
The classic fight-all-the-bosses-from-before boss fight. Just use the longsword and do counter kills. It's not tough by any means.
*NOTE: During any of the these fights, feel free to take the risk of using the hidden blade. You can end the fights faster, but if you don't time the counters right you will be dead quick.*
Then it's a one on one with the big guy himself. Well, maybe one on one is not the right word. All you can do is counter kills, and don't try to grab. And soon the fight will end after a few are dead.
After another scene, and you finally get him alone, just do one little hit, not even a kill, and then head to the lower part of the courtyard. Just keep hitting him, even if it is just grab breaks, until the haziness goes away. When the world is back to normal around you, just whip out the hidden blade and do one counter kill with it to finish the fight.
Watch this familiar type of scene, then go toward the prize. Then just wait for things to return to the real world.

Assassin's Creed 2
Beginning - Outside the Animus (September 8th 2012) Edit
- Start by following Lucy to the Animus and sit inside. After this you are presented with a cut scene, which requires you to push a few buttons to make baby Ezio kick and punch. Not much time is spent in the Animus as Lucy quickly pulls you out and demands that you chase her.
- Use the run button to follow Lucy around the compound. You will encounter some enemies, but Lucy takes care of them for you. After awhile, you will come across a room with narrow cubicle walkways. Follow right behind Lucy and make sure to stop when she does. Most likely, by following these steps, you will get through undetected. But, if a guard does catch up to them, just let Lucy fight them.
- Once you've passed the locked door by using your eagle vision, you will be in a garage filled with guards. Repeatedly use the punch button to knock all of the guards out one by one. But if a guard happens to throw a punch at you it's better to counter attack then to try and dodge.
- Another cut scene begins which takes you to Lucy's secret hideout. Once there, follow her upstairs to the room with other people in it. You have the option to explore the compound, but ultimately, you need to sit in the Animus to start the first mission.

Return to Giovanni.
While continuing to avoid the Pazzi, return to the Palazzo Auditore. Use the same roof-hopping strategy to avoid detection. After the cutscene, three exclamation targets appear on the map. One is for Claudia, one is for Maria and one is for Petruccio. The missions they mark can be completed in any order.
Petruccio's Secret - Florence Edit
You have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to acquire the three feathers, which are marked on the map with yellow crosses. All the feathers are found on rooftops, so you should immediately start climbing. Stay up top and you shouldn't have any problem collecting the three feathers in the given time. When you pick up the third, the timer will stop and you can make your way back to Petruccio, who has since gone inside the house to wait for you. Jailbird - Florence Edit
Along with the Pazzi, now you will need to look out for city guards as well. Though your notoriety meter is empty, guards will still, like the Pazzi, attack you on sight if you do not escape their line of sight quick enough. While attempting to avoid them, make your way to the window of the tower prison Giovanni is being held in, marked on your map with a yellow cross. Be careful as you get close. The prison has a lot more guards than you'll find elsewhere. Stay on building tops surrounding the prison. Be sure to approach it from the southern side. As you get higher up on the prison, expect to run into an archer or two. Try to approach the from behind; you can easily grab an archer and toss him off the top of the prison for an easy kill. Scale the clock tower to reach Giovanni's cell window.

While still avoiding the guards and the Pazzi, make your way back to the Palazzo Auditore to find the chest Giovanni spoke of.
Family Heirloom - Florence Edit
Push and hold the head button to locate the hidden door (it will be shining). You can hold the head button again to deactivate Eagle Vision and the door will remain visible. Walk through it and to the shining chest inside.
After, now that you are wearing the lovely assassin's outfit and have a weapon, make your way back outside towards the blue cross mark.
A cutscene interrupts your journey. When it's over, it's time for your first swordfight! Unlike in Assassin's Creed, counter kills are immediately available. It is the most logical choice in this fight, since your health is rather small. Lock onto the guards and draw your sword. While they are easily defeated, always try playing a defensive battle, sticking to counter kills (note: being in the habit of counter killing is essential for the disarm ability later in the game to work). When the guards are dead, continue towards the blue cross mark. All the guards and Pazzi outside still recognize you immediately, even with your new attire. Once you've reached the target marker, knock on the door encased in a wispy white.

Proceed towards the location of the hearing of your family. It is a white wispy circle near a herald, marked on the map with an exclamation point marker.
Last Man Standing - Florence Edit
Walk through the archway towards where a large crowd of people are gathered.
At the end of the cutscene, don't even bother attempting to fight; the guards are all armed while you only have your fists. Run away, turning sharp corners and taking to the roof whenever possible (by means other than the wall - remember the guards will throw things at you and presently, there's quite a few of them). Ditching your trail is easier from the rooftops, but it's certainly possible to out-hoof the guards on the street level.
It is still possible to end the fight without running. Note as you dispose of guards, more respawn. You can disarm Brutes even this early in the game, so you can take advantage of this to get a good weapon early. A quick easy way to dispose of everyone is to climb the nearby scaffolding nearby, wait for them to try get on, and then throw one into it to kill them all at the same time

DNA Sequence 02: Escape Plans Edit
(Florence - 1476)
Go and meet Annetta at her house. Notice the plethora of red dots in your house's courtyard as well as your notoriety meter. However, even though your notoriety meter is now different, it's still the same story: guards will attack you if you do not evade their line of sight fast enough. Taking to the rooftops guarantees a safer route, but now and for the rest of the game, you will run into guards up there as well. Locate the shining door marked on your map with an exclamation point target.
Fitting In - Florence Edit
This is where you learn to blend. Walk into either group of courtesans to see what you and your surroundings will look like when you blend effectively (you should see a white webbing on the ground). Then walk out of the group and follow Paola. Walk through crowds to avoid drawing the attentions of the guards she walks past. Notice that after you exit a group, you have a couple seconds of leway before guards will notice you. Use this to your advantage if groups of citizens are sparse. Don't be afraid to dash a short distance to get into a group, but make sure you don't run into any member of the group; they will back up and look at you, and you will not be able to blend with them. It is impossible to remain close to Paola, but just keep her in your sights and follow her general direction. After you return to the small courtyard, you will learn how to steal. Press the legs button while walking past someone to steal from them. Practice pick-pocketing the women and test your skills on the unwilling participants of the city. Steal from at least five people and then walk away before they realize they've been robbed.

Go to Leonardo's workshop, which is marked on the map with a yellow cross target. You'll notice you can now hire courtesans to act as a moving blending spot. Use them to your advantage!
After giving you the repaired hidden blade, Leonardo is interrupted by a guard at the door. Use your new hidden blade (press up on the d-pad to quickly equip) to assassinate the guard, who is attacking Leonardo. Simply walk up behind him and press the armed hand button to stealth assassinate. At Leonardo's request, pick up the body, and carry it into his workshop. Drop the body in the wisp of white light.

As with the first Assassin's Creed, you can use the hidden blade as a weapon as well, rather than a tool used only to stealth assassinate.Go back to Paola; the brothel is marked on the minimap with an exclamation point.
- During the cutscene, there is one action button:
- [optional button 01: Action] hit: Ezio shows Paola the hidden blade /// miss: Ezio holds his arm out, but does nothing
Judge, Jury, Executioner - Florence Edit
Walk to the area Uberto is supposed to be in, marked with a yellow cross marker. Climb to the roof to reach the white swirl. While the objective on the pause menu at this time is to 'follow' Uberto, you're really only making your way to the red target marker on your map (the art exibition). Look around and consider how you can get over to Uberto's location without attracting the attention of the myriad guards in the area. Use your blending skills to join a group of people walking in Uberto's direction. There should be plenty of options. Once you are near the building entrance, you'll find that it's guarded. Just around the corner of the building, however, you should find a small group of Courtesans. Use them to sneak past the guards. Sneak up to Uberto and assassinate him. If he notices you, however, he will not fight back. Once you have killed him, escape the art show and the guards. Try to make your way by using the rooftops.

Return to Paola's place, marked on the map with an exclamation marker.
Laying Low - Florence Edit
Follow Paola's advice and walk around the city reducing your notoriety; tear down posters, bribe heralds and assassinate corrupt individuals. All will be marked on your map, provided you are close enough. You must reduce your notoriety to zero to continue.
- The easiest task to remove notoriety is removing posters from around town. The posters appear on your radar and each removes twenty-five percent of your notoriety. Find and remove four posters and you'll have reduced your notoriety to nothing. Note that many of the posters are above street level, sometimes on low platforms, and sometimes on high platforms. This way of reducing your notoriety is the most simplest out of all, as you only pay a short amount of time getting to poster to poster.
- Less common throughout the city are heralds, who are propoganda spreading big mouths. They stand on the streets and yell about general news. Pay them 500 florins and they won't say anything about you and notoriety by fifty percent. This way of notoriety reduction is great if you have a large amount of money, as 500 florins is quite a lot of florins, especially at a time like this. However, you can either pickpocket them, or kill them and loot the 500 florins back.
- Officials show up quasi-randomly on your map. Their icon resembles the poster icon, but watch for one that moves on your radar and chase after it. This is the hardest way of notoriety reduction, as being noticed by the official will cause him to flee, obviously attracting the attention of nearby guards. Pull of a silent, low profile assassination to lower you're notoriety by a large amount of 75% with no problems.

Return to Paola. Her place is again marked on the map with an exclamation marker.
Arrivederci - Florence Edit
Since you are now incognito, guards will not bother you. Walk with Maria and Claudia towards the yellow cross marker on the map. The markers function as checkpoints, each subsequently marked with a yellow cross as they appear. Hire courtesans to bypass the guards at the city gate. There are plenty of factions nearby. Another tactic is to just throw some money in front of them, as they will easily be distracted by it. It will also use less money than hiring the courtesans, which cost 150 florins while throwing money will use just 10 florins. Continue through the three checkpoints once you are outside the city.

DNA SEQUENCE 02 END.
DNA Sequence 03: Requiescat in Pace Edit
Roadside Assistance - Monteriggioni Edit
- Begin leading Claudia and Maria through the canyon, you are soon interrupted by a cut scene. After the scene, turn around and fight the enemies that are attacking you.
- Once you've defeated the enemies picking on your sister and mother, another cut scene takes place, and leaves you with yet more enemies to cut down. Again, focus on defending your ladies as they're basically defenseless. Fight off the enemies and the mission ends.
Casa Dolce Casa - Monteriggioni Edit
- Follow Mario into the villa and up the stairs that lead to the doorstop of his considerably-sized home. Mario stops and talks for a bit before sending you off to do some errands.
- Run back into town and follow the map marker to the blacksmith. Open up the shop and use your money to buy a pair of greaves (armor) and a dagger (weapon). Just a bit further down the street is the doctor from whom you need to buy five medicine items. When all items are bought, the mission is ended.
Practice Makes Perfect - Monteriggioni Edit
- Talk to Claudia inside the mansion. She walks off. Find Mario further inside and talk to him. He'll demand you train yourself in the art of combat, and warps you to a fighting pit in front of his pad. You'll go through a number of training exercises, each of which needs to be completed at least three times before you can move on to the next.
- The final challenge is to defeat Mario in a fight. Mario, however, is pretty easy to fight. After you defeat Mario, he storms off after talking to you. Follow the marker on your map to Mario's back room and talk to the man there to end the mission.
What Goes Around - Tuscany Edit
-
Talk to Claudia in her room on the second floor of the mansion for a bit of dialog, but no mission. Next, go to the south end of town and exit the gate to find a stable of horses just outside. Hop aboard one of the horses and ride it southeast toward the map marker.
- Mario is now in Tuscany. Hop off the horse and talk to him to accept a mission against the troublesome Vieri. Follow Mario up the hill to the wall surrounding the city. You can climb up the broken portion of the wall to the parapet walk.
- Be aware, there are three archers up high that you can silently take out using your new throwing knives, two on rooftops, and one at the highest part of the parapet. When you've killed the three archers, drop down on the inside of the wall and look for the crank that'll open up the gate.
- Help your crew finish off the last of the enemies, just outside Tuscany's gate. Follow the group inside the town and Mario will stop to tell you something about distracting guards. Start tearing your way through the city, killing the guards in your way. There's a marker on your map to follow.
- The marker eventually leads you to a downed soldier who tells you that Mario's in need of help just ahead. Continue just a bit further and you'll fall into Mario's melee. Help Mario and the gang dispatch all of the guards and Mario will give you another target to run after.
- The target leads you to the rooftops at the north end of the city. A cut scene shows Vieri enter the town and send his men into a battle with Mario's. You're then instructed to assassinate Vieri, but you don't have to get into the thick of it. Vieri secretly retreats to the top of the parapet overlooking the battle. From the rooftop, you can jump to the stairs that run up the right side of the parapet.
- Head to the highest part of the parapet, where you'll find Vieri there, along with a number of other guards. You only need kill Vieri. Be aware, he'll block your counter kill attempts when using the sword and dagger if his Health is high enough, so the easiest way to kill is to grab Vieri, toss him on the ground, and then execute a killing blow while he's on the ground; it is also possible to achieve a Hidden Blade counter kill against him. With Vieri dead, the mission ends.
A Change of Plans - Monteriggioni Edit
- Talk to Mario just outside his home and follow him indoors. He'll part ways soon, leaving you to read a letter that you've got. After reading the letter, you can find Mario in his back room. Talk to him again for another cut scene.
- Mario sends you to collect four codex pages scattered throughout the villa. To find them easily, climb to the top of Mario's estate and move to the view point to synchronize. All four codex pages will appear on your map, making the collection very easy. Just go to the four locations on your map and you'll find the codex boxes in plain view on the lowest ground level. When all four are collected, the mission ends.
- Locate Claudia on the lower floor of Mario's palace and talk to her. She'll complain about her duties, before leaving you to talk to the local architect, who's in the same room. Talk to him and he'll explain how you can invest money into the town to, eventually, make more money. Make whichever investments you'd like—it's your choice.
- Exit the architect's screen and find Mario in his room to the north. Talk to him and he'll open up a secret doorway. Follow him downstairs and he'll show you something that you can't have, at least for now. There are hidden assassin's tombs scattered throughout the world that you need to complete in order to unlock the sweet Altaïr outfit.
DNA Sequence 04: The Pazzi Conspiracy Edit
Practice What You Preach - Florence Edit
- Return to Leonardo in Florence, two years later, now 1478. Leonardo uses your collected codexes to give you new skills. After the cut scene, look for the marker on your map that points you to a courtyard behind Leonardo's pad. There are three new stealth kills you've learned, and you need to practice each.
- To perform the hiding spot kill, hop into the pile of hay, and press the assassinate button. The air assassinate move must be executed from a platform directly above the enemy that's on the ground. Just lock onto the enemy and press the assassinate button. The assassination from the ledge works by climbing onto the ledge just below the railing of the upper balcony. Press the button and Ezio makes the kill look easy.
- The mission ends once all kills are completed.
- After this mission you will have learned the assassinate from hiding spot, air assassinate and assassinate from ledge moves.
- Once completed, you will have the double hidden blades. This is a formidably great weapon as it has the same insta-kill power as the normal hidden blade, but doubled. Now you can assassinate 2 people at once.
Fox Hunt - Florence Edit
- When you begin this mission, you're asked to find a particular man among the crowd in the village square whom is marked in green on your map. Use your eagle vision and the guy you're looking for will glow gold
-
- Guards glow red, everyone else is darkened out.
- When you find the man, approach him for a quick, puzzling cut scene.
- The man steals your pouch of cash. Chase after him, quickly! Use the lock-on feature, once you're close enough to more easily keep track of the runner. If he leaves your screen, just look for a blue arrow icon that marks his location. Once you're within range, tap the grab button while in high profile to perform a dive tackle and bring down the thief. A cut scene plays out the mission.
See You There - Florence Edit
- Initiate this mission with La Volpe and he'll start by immediately running. Don't worry about losing him, as he'll move to a spot above you and wait for you to meet him. After another brief cut scene, he runs off yet again, leaving you in the dust.
- Again, don't worry about keeping up with him. An icon will appear on your map that guides you to his ultimate destination, so just make for that target. Beware, though, you only have one minute to get there, so stick to the rooftops and run. You'll need to free-run like hell, though dropping down to the street level by accident may ruin your chances. Watch your step. When you reach the end point, a cut scene closes the mission.
Novella's Secret - Florence Edit
-
The map marker will lead you to the entrance of this underground tomb. Activate the skull carving on the wall and Ezio will drop down to the mission. There's a lever to the north that opens up a gate and lets you climb to the next room just ahead.
- Continue to the map marker and the camera will pull out, to show you the collapsed stairwell and the target you have to reach next. Start by leaping off the platform, jumping left to grab a pole and swing to the next solid platform along the wall. From there, use the series of wooden beams ahead to leap step-by-step to the next platform.
- There's a craggy rock wall that Ezio can climb to the next platform, and on this platform a lever on the back wall that opens up a metal gate in the center of the stairwell. Jump through the opened passage in the center column and out to another platform along the outer wall. Turn right and swing across a couple of wooden beams to reach another platform.
- There's another switch here. Take a leap of faith off the edge of the platform to drop into the hole opened by the lever. Once at the base of the stairwell, approach the nearby opening for a quick cut scene that shows some enemy guards moving into the next area.
- Head into the next room and you'll have a new platforming challenge. There are two guards to watch for on the upper levels of the room, so be mindful of their movement patterns. To the west is a series of rocks that you can vault across to reach a climbable portion of the western wall. From there, shimmy left, but make sure the guard to your left is facing away.
- Look east from the northern wall and you can jump across a series of beams and swing from a rope to reach a platform to the east with a large lever. Pull the lever and the camera swings up to show you another lever high above. To get to it, jump south across the hole in the platform and look left. You can wall-run after crossing the narrow beam to reach a platform overhead.Once you reach the ledge just under the guard, you can execute a ledge assassination to drop the guard silently. Pull up to the platform and look north for the second guard, who paces back and forth. Wait for him to turn away and you can run up for a simple, straight-forward silent kill.
- From here jump north to another platform that'll let you leap out to the wooden block suspended in the air by a rope. Once on the wooden block, turn south and you can jump to grab a wooden pole that'll let Ezio swing to another solid platform that was previously highlighted by the pull-away camera.
- Pull the lever on the platform and the big double-doors below will open up, triggering the curiosity of three of the guards in the next room. They take to patrolling the room you're in. Move to the ledge overhanging the stack of hay below. One of the guards will patrol near it and stop just next to the hay pile. Lock onto him and drop down for a silent kill.
- Immediately hop into the hay pile for cover and another guard will eventually see the dead body and come nearby. He should get close enough that you can perform an assassination from the hay pile. From the cover of the hay pile, wait for the third guard to inspect the dead body and show him the same fate.
- Move toward the open door to the north and a cut scene will show the last remaining guard run away from you. Chase after him, but don't worry if you can't catch him. While you're chasing him, a gate will close behind the guard and ahead of you, forcing you to look for an alternate route to the right to circumvent the gate.
- You'll catch back up with the runaway guard for more chasing and he'll lead you to the upper level of a large hall. Run up a stack of boxes on the right and from there you can leap out into the open area of the hall and swing across a couple of beams to continue the chase. Another gate ahead locks in front of you. Look to the right and you can climb to a handrail and jump across a series of wooden beams.
- The rest of the chase is pretty simple. He'll close another gate in your face, but just turn left to continue following him. When he finally closes a large, stone door behind him, climb up a scaffolding to the right and you can finally confront him.
- Don't bother being stealthy here, you'll just have to fight the group of enemies in the large, round room. Play defensively, at least at first, countering incoming attacks with your full-sized sword. When you've whittled down the enemy's numbers, you can start fighting more aggressively to finish them off. After the fight, move down a nearby hall to trigger a cut scene.
- As the scene closes, continue down the hall to a room that's loaded with treasure chests. Collect the goods and then open the coffin. There's a door to the right of the coffin that you can open to return to the streets of Florence. Once there blend in with the crowd as fast as possible to avoid imminent death by the countless guards looking for you.
Wolves in Sheep's Clothing - Florence Edit
- Hit the map marker and this mission will immediately kick off. You need to check the nearby street in front of a large, regal building to find a certain somebody. The area is marked green on your map, so don't waste time anywhere else. Just turn on eagle vision and, once you've spotted the target, a cut scene will take over.
- After the cut scene, defend Lorenzo de'Medici, who's marked with a blue arrow. Move near him before readying your sword. If you see an enemy attack Lorenzo, you can frequently score instant kills with a stab to the enemy's back. Otherwise, just stay near Lorenzo and catch enemy attacks with counters for quick kills.
- When the enemies are dead, escort Lorenzo across town. The escort is pretty straight-forward, just run toward the map target with Lorenzo following. He'll keep up with you if you run, so book it, doing your best to ignore the men fighting around you. If you do get confronted, be ready to defend Lorenzo as you did before, putting yourself next to him so that you can counter incoming attacks. When you bring Lorenzo to the end point, the mission is complete.
Farewell Francesco - Florence Edit
- Talk to the indicated man and he'll tell you that Francesco is mounting an attack at some tower across town. Take to the rooftops and start heading for the tower. There's a waypoint on top of a building overlooking the courtyard outside the tower—hit it and you'll see a cut scene in which Francesco sends his men on you.
- Get to Francesco, who's standing atop the prison tower. The northeastern corner of the building is probably the easiest to climb, and you can get a boost from the adjacent building. As you ascend the tower, you'll run into enemy guards. Do your best to ignore them.
- Get to the top level and approach the northwestern corner to trigger a cut scene with Francesco. He'll immediately dive off the corner of the building, prompting you to take a leap of faith off the same corner. Don't worry, you'll survive. When you land, lock onto Francesco and chase after him. Equip your hidden blade and, when you get close enough, launch an assassination attack to end the mission.
DNA Sequence 05: Loose Ends Edit
Four to the Floor / A Blade with Bite - Florence Edit
- Talk to Lorenzo and he'll hands you another codex. Take it to Leonardo Da Vinci across town and he'll translate it for you to complete the mission.
- Once you complete this mission, you will get the poison blade. It will prove itself very useful later on in the game.
Evasive Maneuvers - Monteriggioni Edit
- Return to the Villa Monteriggioni and talk to Mario at his house. He'll bring you out to the training grounds in the villa and challenge you to learn a couple of new things. The first is the dodge. After that, you will then learn the disarm move. The move is executed just like a normal counter attack. Perform it three times to complete the mission.
- Dodging will be very important in high-profile fights with large numbers of enemies.
- The Disarm move is very useful as you can just steal a guard's weapon as use it against them. Weapons from guards can't be found in any blacksmith shop. After this mission you might want to fight with you bare hands only for much of the game.
Town Crier - Tuscany Edit
-
Make your way to Tuscany, where you'll find that you've got a number of missions to choose from. Select this one by talking to the man in the town square at the center of Tuscany. He asks you to assassinate a town crier that's at the top of a very, very tall tower. Accept the mission make your way toward the tower. As you get near, you'll start hearing the cries of the loud man you're to kill.
- Start climbing the tower from the eastern face and make your way upward. You'll have to move around to every other face of the tower on your way up. When you reach the top, cling to the platform and hang there. There are two guards protecting the crier, and you can avoid them entirely if you're smart about it.
- Shimmy over to the eastern face of the tower and you'll spot a ladder that leads to the uppermost platform where the crier is standing. Wait for the guards to move away and then quickly run up to the top platform and assassinate the crier. He's got a sword of his own so he may resist, but he's not above a quick counter attack, or even a toss off the roof.
Come Out and Play - Tuscany Edit
-
The second assassination mission is received from a man to the south of the city. A map marker guides you to the general location of the target, but it doesn't point him out exactly. Climb to the rooftops and use eagle vision to pick out the target (highlighted in gold) that's pacing around the market with a pair of guards in tow.
- The target repeats the same route pattern over and over, so you can set yourself up for a simple and easy kill. There's a well in the center of the market that you can wait in. Face south while you cling to the inside of the well. When Bernardo's route pattern brings him to the edge of the well, lock onto him and you can get a quick assassination kill.
- After the cut scene plays out, you still have to deal with Bernardo's guards. Be ready to defend yourself. There are nearby mercenaries if you need to enlist their help, but honestly you should be a-okay on your own. Clear the guards and the mission ends.
The Cowl Does Not Make the Monk - Tuscany Edit
-
You'll pick up this assassination mission, just outside of town, in a villa to the southeast. The target is inside an abbey to the southeast, and the whole area is restricted so that no matter what your infamy level (even zero), you'll be called out for being in the area.
- Once you reach the abbey, climb to the top of the building from the western side, which is furthest from the restricted zone. Once up top, you can see inside the abbey to spy on its inhabitants and look for the target. Use eagle vision and the target will glow gold, though he's constantly under the cover of the halls around the southern perimeter of the abbey.
- Also along the southern perimeter, is a carriage filled with leaves that you can leap into without being seen. From here, wait for Stefano to reach the southeast corner of the building. He'll stop momentarily, letting you quickly and quietly jump out of the leaves and assassinate the target from behind. After the kill, you'll have to leave the area and ditch the guards, but with such a wide open area around you it shouldn't be a problem.
Behind Closed Doors - Tuscany Edit
-
You receive this mission from a man in a small village northeast of the main city. The target, the Archbishop Salviati, is in a nearby compound. Your contact gives you the details and then tells you that you've got a small army at your fingertips, but truth be told they're not that useful. Just make your way to the gate on the southern wall of the compound.
- There's a small group of enemy soldiers outside the front gate, as well as a few archers on top of the walls. Take out the archers from afar using throwing knives before sending your men on the guards to engage them.
- Once the coast is clear, you can climb up the face of the wall just left or right of the gate. Ezio says something about wanting to open the gate, and if you really want to you can drop down and try to open the gate via the draw handle just inside the compound. But as soon as you drop down, you'll likely come under attack. Stand your ground and counter attack the many enemies that surround you. So long as you're patient and don't get too aggressive, you should tear through their numbers quickly.
- Occasionally, the Archbishop will join the fray and attack you. He's dressed in a unique attire that resembles pajamas. If you counter attack him, he'll die and complete the task for you. After the Archbishop is dead, your crew will flood into the compound and help you finish killing the enemies around you, completing the mission.
With Friends Like These - Tuscany Edit
-
The start point for this mission is on a rooftop overlooking an open square in the city. As people spill out of the main building in the square, use eagle vision to pick out the target, Jacopo de' Pazzi. The goal for now is not to kill him but to let him lead you to the meeting spot for the enemies. Drop down to street level and follow him, keeping your distance so that you don't give yourself away.
- It helps if you start the mission with zero notoriety, as you will be walking past many guards as you trail Jacopo. You can hire a group of ladies to offer cover if you need. Following Jacopo on the rooftops is a bit difficult just because of the places he goes, but you can get by okay on the ground. Eventually, he'll exit the city limits through a line of guards.
- You can't just walk past the wall of guards, so climb the wall, via the ladder to the right. You may attract the attention of some parapet guards, but you can actually fight them off while moving down the parapet path without rousing the suspicion of the target.
- Jacopo eventually heads away from the city wall to an outdoor amphitheater. The main path has guards nearby and it's a restricted area, so you'll need to avoid the guards completely. Just jump over the walls to the left or right of the main entrance and get in close enough to Jacopo to trigger a cut scene.
- During the cutscene, there is one action button:
- [optional button 01: Action] hit: Ezio kills the guard using the hidden blade /// miss: Ezio pushes away the guards
- After the scene plays out, fight off the guards, including some powerful brutes that you won't be able to counter. However, these guards are vulnerable to the disarm maneuver, which is just as good for killing. When you've cleared the area, approach the downed Jacopo and finish him off. It is also possible to do this in the opposite order, by sprinting past the guards at the beginning of the encounter to kill Jacopo; afterward, ending the encounter by killing off all other combatants or escaping will complete the mission.
DNA Sequence 06: Rocky Road Edit
Road Trip - Florence Edit
- Talk to Lorenzo and he'll gives you the Medici cape, which makes you anonymous to Medici guards—permanently. A marker appears on your map that leads you to Leonardo da Vinci's home. Knock on the door and the mission ends.
- Medici Guards are those in yellow, and are only in Florence and Tuscany.
Romagna Holiday - The Mountains Edit
- Travel to the mountains to start this mission. Talk to Leonardo, who's stuck trying to fix his wagon. The cut scene that follows leaves you in control of a horse-drawn wagon that's being chased by an endless supply of enemies that attempt to leap onto the back.
- As enemy soldiers jump onto the carriage, rock it back and forth to make them lose their balance and eventually fall off. Just focus on steering and rocking the carriage. You can rock too much and flip the wagon, but it's pretty hard to do so don't take it easy. Also be sure to watch the health meter of the carriage—running into things damages it.
- After a mid-ride cut scene, you'll start taking fire from archers with flaming, explosive arrows that hit the ground ahead of you. Do your best to weave a path between these spots of fire as they'll further damage your ride. Eventually, Ezio lets Leonardo continue and hops off the wagon.
- Now kill off a fair-sized group of enemies, including a brute with a nasty axe. Simple counters may not work against all of these guys, so throw in some disarm attempts, as well as grabs to throw them on the ground. When you've killed off the lot, move to the waypoint just down the road a bit to complete the mission. Also, another easy way to complete this mission is simply running into the white wisp nearby.
Tutti a Bordo - Forlì Edit
- You get transported to Forlì, a new city. To the far, far northeast corner you'll find Leonardo, who's ready to board a ship with you. But before you can join, you get interrupted with this mission to save a woman who got herself into trouble.
- A map marker points you to a nearby oar boat. Hop aboard and approach the oar at the back of the boat to start steering it. Row south and around the corner of land to reach the woman. Ride into the wisp of light in front of her, then deliver her to another wisp of light near the dock. Mission complete.
Intermission (September 8th 2012) Edit
Training Edit
Desmond will wake up outside of the Animus and turn on the defense system of the Assassins hideout by using Ezio's climbing abilities. Two panels are on the ground while the other two are on the catwalk.
Altaïr dream Edit
Desmond will go through the hallway of the hideout and he will start hallucinating. Now you play as Altaïr one more time. All you need to do is follow your target who later turns out to be Maria, Desmond's ancestor.
- It is possible to kill the Templars in the dream. In fact, they will die with one single hit. Should you kill one like this, the Templar closest to you will simply walk over and shove you rudely, then walk away like nothing happened. There is however no point in killing the Templars.
DNA Sequence 07: The Merchant Of Venice (September 9th 2012) Edit
Beginning - Venice Edit
- Hop aboard the ship after Leonardo and hit the waypoint to be whisked away back to present time. Follow Lucy to the downstairs warehouse where she's set up a challenge for you.
- There are four switches on the surrounding walls that you need to hit. Just activate eagle vision and they'll glow red—two on walls at the upper catwalk level and two on the lower ground level. When you've hit all four switches, look for Lucy and she'll lead you back up to the Animus room.
- After a cut scene, you're left in Acre with control of Altaïr. Move straight down the road and don't worry about the guards surrounding you. As you enter the castle gate, you'll catch sight of a figure running away from you.
- Do your best to lock onto the figure and chase after, but don't get too worried if you fall behind. If the figure gets away, just reach a high spot and use eagle vision to spot the glowing gold so you can continue the chase. You'll be lead across building tops and eventually onto a parapet walk.
- Climb the tower at the end of the parapet. When you reach the small balcony midway up the tower, climb on top and stand directly beneath the beam above. Leaving the analog stick in neutral, hold the high profile button and tap jump. Altaïr should hop up to grab the beam. You get a cut scene as you reach the end and are left sitting atop the tower. Perform a leap of faith off the tower and you'll be brought back to the present-future time. Move into the Animus to return to ancient Italy.
Benvenuto - Venice Edit
- Begin by talking to Leonardo. A man will come by and escort you and Leo around the town of Venice, showing off some of the attractions. Cut scenes interrupt you. In the final cut scene, there will be one action button:
- [optional button 01: Open Hand] hit: Ezio hugs Leonardo /// miss: Ezio does nothing and Leonardo looks sad.
- (NOTE: Many players have reset their entire game to play this again, unable to bare Leonardo being sad)
That's Gonna Leave a Mark - Venice Edit
- The beginning point for this mission is near a heavily-guarded area. Be aware that if you approach from the wrong angle you'll have to fight all sorts of enemies. When the mission starts, follow Rosa around as she runs in circles looking for her destination. Guards will show up that need killing. Do your best to protect Rosa.
- Rosa doesn't seem to know where she's going, so expect to run around a lot and get interrupted by a number of groups of guards. Eventually, Rosa drops to her knees, unable to walk any further. Get near her and you can pick Rosa up to carry her. A final waypoint marker appears on your map, so run her to it quickly. If you get chased, hire a group of mercenaries to distract the guards for you.
- At the waypoint, Rosa and a buddy take off in a gondola while you're tasked with defending them against archers on the buildings surrounding the river. Immediately cross the river by skipping over the poles to the southwest and assassinate the nearest archer. For a quick kill, you can simply toss him into the water—unlike you, the guards can't swim.
- Keep moving up the river, staying ahead of the gondola so that you can intercept the archers before they get a chance to shoot at your weak friends. Look for red dots on your map that appear on either side of the river so that you know where to look for guards.
- The gondola ride ends eventually. As Rosa's buddy takes off, pick up Rosa again and bring her to a table in the crew's little hideout area. Mission completed. if you do the cutscene buttons correctly they will praise you.
Building Blocks / Cleaning House - Venice Edit
-
Talk to Antonio, the head of the thieves guild. At first, you'll get a cut scene and a memory sync, without having to do anything. Once again talk to him. You'll get a mission to identify and kill some traitors. The nearest traitor is in an area just north of you, so head toward the green area on your map.
- Use eagle vision to spot the traitor glowing gold in the area. He's on one of the largest boats in the water, just off the docks to the north. If you just swim right up to his boat, his alert guards will spot you and make a stealthy kill impossible. But if you swim underwater, you can get up along the southern side of the boat and cling to the side, a position from which you won't be spotted.
- Climb your way to the outside rear-left edge of the boat, just above the anchor hanging from the side. The target will patrol around the ship's deck and periodically stop right at that position. Lock onto to the traitor and execute a stealth kill to quickly and silently pull him over the edge of the boat, to his death in the water below. One traitor down, two to go.
- The next closest target is to the east and south a bit. Make your way in that direction and use your eagle vision on the rooftops to spot him out—the traitor is also on the rooftops, pacing in circles. When the traitor isn't looking at you, position yourself along the ledge of the building and wait for him to walk near you. You can bust out another simple, stealthy kill without any drama.
- The third target is found along the northeast boundary of the city. He has a fairly long and complicated patrol route that always takes him by the water's edge. When he's not nearby, jump from the rooftops and into the water so that you can cling to the ledge just below street level. Wait for the traitor to circle back around and nail him with a stealthy assassination while locked onto him.
Breakout - Venice Edit
- Ugo, the guy with this mission, is standing on a rooftop in the center of the city. He asks you to free some prisoners held captive in three different locations in the city. The nearest group is just north of you. Make your way there, but beware the guards standing in the alleyways that surround the makeshift prison cells.
- Infiltrate the area by using the rooftops without getting any unwanted attention. As you get near the little holding cell, a dialog between the guards triggers. Wait around and most of the guards will eventually walk away, leaving you waiting over just a single guard. You can drop down and assassinate him and then open the door of the holding cell, but expect other nearby guards to attack as you do.
- Fight off the enemies and then make your way back to the rooftops with the freed prisoners in tow. They're thieves so they can keep up with you as you hop around rooftops. Make your way back to Ugo, who should be just south of you. As long as you can escort at least one of the prisoners there, you can move onto the next set of captives.
- The next set of captives, whom are to the south, are under even less strict supervision. Again, use the rooftops to get close and clear a path (by killing roof archers) that you can use on the return trip. The prisoners are at the bottom of a courtyard, with just one guard in front of their cell.
- Drop down (quietly) on top of their cell, lock onto the guard, and perform a quick assassination. You should go unheard, letting you release the prisoners and take back to the rooftops for a simple jaunt back to Ugo.
- It is difficult to rescue the last group, located to the west, without triggering alarms, though you can perform a double assassination on the two guards directly in front of the holding cell. Expect to have to fight off other guards that hear the event. When they're dead, escort the four prisoners back to Ugo. Do your best to avoid the water, as the prisoners will die if they fall in.
- For all of these groups there are hay bales that you can jump into from the roof. To assassinate the guard without getting noticed, simply jump into the hay bale, briefly get out so that the guard comes to investigate, and then assassinate them.
Monkey See, Monkey Do - Venice Edit
- Talk to Rosa, who has her buddy show you a new move that'll help you be a better climber. Cling to the wall under the scaffolding and perform a big jump upward. At the peak of your jump, press the grab button to get hold of a ledge, securing the height of your jump. Perform this move a few times to reach the top of the scaffolding and end the mission.
By Leaps and Bounds - Venice Edit
- Meet Rosa in front of the Frari, the tall tower at the center of town. She challenges you to use your new climbing skill to reach the top of the tower. To make things interesting, she also gives you a time limit. Fortunately, there's more than enough time to reach the top.
- Begin climbing upward. You won't actually need to use the new climb leap for most of the ascension, but it certainly doesn't hurt. When you reach the first level of the rooftop, start clinging to the main tower. This is where you can't progress further upward without the use of the climb leap. Make your way to the top, synchronize, and then perform a leap of faith to return to street level. Talk to Rosa to end the mission.
Clothes Make the Man - Venice Edit
- Speak to a man on the docks and he'll ask you to loot three chests for some guard outfits. All three chests appear on your map and they're all pretty close. First, head for the nearest chest to the south. The guards are all busy staring to the east, but you can drop down into the river to the west and come up behind them to secretly steal the loot. The chest looks like a normal treasure chest and is in a small alcove accessible from both the street and the river.
- To the east, the second group of guards surrounding the next chest are not as easy to circumvent. The chest is against the outside wall of the Frari and the guards surround it tightly, giving you no space to sneak in. But there's a group of thieves just north of the chest's location that you can hire and use to distract the guards. When the guards run after the thieves, loot the chest.
- The last chest is located at the very edge of a restricted area, which means that if you get close you'll automatically be a target for surrounding guards, no matter how suspicious or ordinary your actions. Thankfully, the chest is actually located just outside of this zone, but you'll need to distract the guards surrounding the chest before you can get at it. Hire another group of thieves and send them to the guards, then swoop in to loot the chest, being mindful of the restricted zone's boundaries.
- For the last part of the mission, hijack a small oar boat nearby. It's just off the dock on the other side of the restricted area. We suggest climbing to the rooftops so you can get around the restricted area without alarm, and then jump onto the boat. Man the oar and row to the waypoint across the water to end the mission.
Everything Must Go - Venice Edit
- Visit Antonio again and be ready for a quick time event during the cut scene after you accept the mission. The first order of business is to kill five archers surrounding the building in which Emilio is camping. Take to the rooftops and locate the guards. Once you've gotten near them, you can't let them get too far away from you. Kill all of them.
- A yellow marker appears on your map and guides you to Antonio, when all five archers are killed. Speak to him and he'll give you the last objective for the mission, which is to kill Emilio. Go east toward the building in which Emilio is stationed and hire a group of thieves along the way. You can use them to distract the guards just outside the compound.
- Once you're inside the gates of the compound, start climbing your way to the top of the building. You'll have to make use of your climb leap ability frequently, so look for opportunities to jump high and grab the next ledge. When you reach the top of the building, you trigger a cut scene that shows Emlio on one of the lower floors.
- Take out any nearby archers on the roof and then drop down to one of the upper levels of the building on the south side. There's a guard there you'll need to take out, so be quick about it.
- From the southern platform, move east and you can look down a hall of stairs, up which walks Emelio. Wait for him to get nearby and then quickly run out and assassinate him. A cut scene takes over, after which you need only to talk over to Rosa to end the mission.
DNA Sequence 08: Necessity, Mother Of Invention Edit
Birds of a Feather - Venice Edit
- This mission begins in the center of town. A couple of conspirators meet up and begin walking away from you. You need to trail them, but obviously you don't want to rouse their suspicion. Stay close enough that they never leave your line of sight, but try not to run or do anything else high profile. If a nearby guard bumps into you and gives you crap, turn the other cheek. If you get into a fight, you stand a good chance of blowing the mission.
- Occasionally, the pair you're trailing will stop and look around. Do your best to blend, or simply increase your distance to keep them from suspecting you. If there's a nearby group of courtesans, you can hire them and have them surround you for instant cover. The courtesans will also be useful when the conspirators move past a line of guards blocking your path. Send the ladies to distract the guards so you can continue past them.
- The pair move to a large open area and meet up with more conspirators. After the cut scene, the same rules apply—follow them, but don't get spotted. You should probably be hiring every group of courtesans you pass, as they'll get lost in the shuffle and you'll lose your cover as you progress. They don't cost much, and you shouldn't be sweating that kind of money at this point in the game. Eventually, you'll make your way to a dock where a cut scene closes out the mission.
If at First You Don't Succeed... - Venice Edit
- Locate Rosa and Antonio and you'll have to wander around the Palazzo Ducale to scout out a way to infiltrate the building. Lead Antonio to the first map marker for a quick bit of dialog. Another map marker appears.
- Hurry to the second marker to scout and a third marker appears to the southeast. Beware that the building is surrounded by a restricted zone, so do your best to skirt around it. The third marker is at the top of a tall tower that you must climb. It's not a tough climb, but the way back down can be tricky unless you use the leap of faith off the north ledge.
- After the leap of faith, wait around for Antonio to catch up—he's afraid of heights and won't leap after you. You need to now make your way to the north end of the Palazzo to hit a fourth map marker. Again, be careful to avoid the restricted zone's boundaries as you go around the western side of the Palazzo. When you hit the map marker, Antonio suggests that you've found a suitable route to the top of the building.
- A fifth map marker guides you onto the top of the Palazzo. Climb the northern face of the building, using the scaffolding to bridge the gap between hand holds. When you reach the top, make your way to the map marker. There are no archers to worry about, so just hit the last waypoint to end the mission.
Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained - Venice Edit
- Locate Leonardo's new shop in Venice and pay him a visit. He and Ezio move to a rooftop to test out Leo's rad flying machine. As the cut scene ends, you get to play with the flight controls a bit. You don't really have to do anything. After you've landed or crashed, the mission is over.
Well Begun Is Half Done - Venice Edit
- There are four areas of the city, all east of your current location, that require clearing. Go to these four locations and kill the brute guards, the heavily-armored guys that show up in gold with your eagle vision. Each of these areas has standard guards nearby as well, but you don't need to kill them. Move to the nearest area and you'll find two of these brute guards standing on a bridge. Approach them subtly and you can assassinate both without a fuss.
- The next area that needs clearing is a ship in the river that runs through the city. The ship is considered a restricted zone, so you can't just walk onto it. But you can board the ship from the water, climbing onto the side of it to peek above and make sure no one on the deck is watching you. There are two more brutes patrolling the ship's deck and you can easily slip behind them for another double assassination.
- The last two areas are pretty close by, and each is marked by multiple targets. To the south are two brute guards on opposite ends of a walkway by the river. You can wait in the water, cling to the ledge of the walkway, and wait for each guard to get near you for a quick assassination from the ledge. Beware that there are small restricted areas marked on the map, and if you swim through their edges the lesser guards on the walkway will spot you.
- To the north, the group you have to kill is actually made of three archers on the rooftops. Getting to them stealthily isn't easy because of their formation, but since they're just archers there's no real reason to play it so safe. Just rush the archers. When all three are dead, the mission is ended.
Infrequent Flier - Venice Edit
- Immediately pause the game and check out your map, once you take flight. You can see the locations of all of the fires in the city, as well as the target to the far, far southeast. If you make a simple beeline for the target, the Palazzo Ducale, you won't get the updrafts you need to maintain your height and infiltrate the fortress. Instead, you need follow the trail of fires that lead you east and then north before finally turning south toward the Palazzo.
- The game gives you instructions for kicking archers, but it's best if you ignore them completely. There's no reason to confront the archers, other than an Achievement for the Xbox 360 or the Trophy for the PS3. At the start of the flight, there are two diverging trails of fires. Keep to the northernmost trail of fires and you'll be out of the archers' ranges. Try to get within the range of each updraft you pass—you may have enough height to completely fly over a fire without getting the updraft effect, but it's important that you get close enough to each fire to move higher.
- There's a large gap between fires at the northernmost portion of the trail and you'll lose a lot of altitude. The next set of fires is on the deck of a boat far, far below. Make sure you catch the updraft from the boats, otherwise you won't be able to continue. From here on, it's smooth sailing. Just keep an eye on the map to make sure you find your way to the waypoint destination on the top of the Palazzo.
- Once on top the roof of the Palazzo, get inside and assassinate the target. From your landing spot, you can use eagle vision and spot the target to the north, on an open level just a couple of floors under you. To get to him, most players would run around the top of the building and patiently kill off the three archers, but another much simpler path is available which doesn't involve contact with any guards. From your starting position on the roof, there is a ladder directly in front of you which will lead down to an overhang. You can then swing your way along the wall towards the white wisp waypoint without any problem. The only danger is that there is a militia guard patrolling on the staircase below and he might notice you as you swing on the final pole down to the white wisp; but if you move fluently and not linger on the last swing-pole, you'll only hear the "ping" indicating he's suspicious of your actions just as you land in the white wisp waypoint where a cut scene takes over.
- After the cut scene, immediately jump back out onto the overhang where the last white wisp waypoint was and you'll see the target beginning to run down the staircase in front of you. You can easily execute an air assassination from that position on the overhang.
- After hearing your target's final words, your final task is to exit the Palazzo and ditch the guards chasing you. Run out of the building through the southern exit (it's strongly recommended using a smoke bomb to stun the guards who burst through the southern exit, making your escape quicker and easier) and jump into the river. You can dive underwater to escape the guards' watch and quickly lose them to complete the mission.
DNA Sequence 09: Carnevale Edit
Knowledge Is Power - Venice Edit
- Visit Leonardo and he'll create a new weapon for you based on a mystery codex. After the cut scene, move out to the yellow map marker and you'll get some directions on how to use your new pistol. Lock onto the three dummies across the river and shoot them. Holding down the fire button builds up your accuracy, making it possible to hit the distant targets. When all three targets are shot, return to Leonardo to complete the mission.
Damsel in Distress - Venice Edit
- You'll encounter Antonio and company in the Dorsoduro district to the south. Talk to him and your conversation is interrupted by a murder—that's right, murder! After the cut scene, you need to kill the murderer, who's marked on your map and doesn't move. Make your way toward the murderer and you'll be stopped as he threatens to kill another courtesan. Lock onto him and equip your pistol. Charge the shot fully and blast the murderer from afar to end the mission.
Nun the Wiser - Venice Edit
- Go back to the bordello and speak to Antonio and the sister. Follow them to the carnival. Mission complete
Ribbon Round-Up - Venice Edit
- This is the closest of the three carnival games you've got to complete in order to earn the golden mask. Talk to the game master and he'll challenge you to round up a bunch of ribbons from women in the area. Various groups of women are marked on your map. Move to them and pick-pocket the ribbons from them. You can usually get two or four ribbons per group if you bump into all of the women. Go around the area quickly to pick up at least 25 ribbons.
CTF - Venice Edit
- The carnival game to the north challenges you to a quick game of Capture the Flag. Be sure to pack at least five medicines for this memory! You start out on a rooftop, pointed toward a yellow waypoint on the map. Start running toward it as quickly as possible, ignoring the red marker that appears on your map. The red marker is your competitor, who tries to get to the flag before you. As long as you start running right away and jump directly down to the street level (don't sweat about your health because that's where your medicine will come in handy, to heal yourself from the high fall), you should always beat him. Grab the flag and immediately sprint for the ladder that's literally a few steps away, which is laid on the same building that is connected to your start point. Bring the flag to the start point to score a point. Earn three points to win.
And They're Off - Venice Edit
- You've got a limited amount of time to complete this fairly challenging obstacle course. A series of waypoints show up one after the other, and you've got to run through all sixteen of them, quickly. The first four are on ground level, so you don't waste time climbing any buildings. The fifth waypoint will start you on an ascent up the side of a building, and from then on you can expect next bunch to require some careful platforming as you skirt the side of the building.
- After hitting the seventh marker, turn left and jump off the ledge of the platform. Ezio will grab onto something hanging just off screen and swing around to the next series of stepping spots and their waypoints. You'll eventually have to climb up to the rooftops for a couple of waypoints.
- On your way to the thirteenth waypoint, you need to take a big dive off the west end of a building and fall into the river below. Continue up the ramp to the street level and you can continue collecting the last few waypoints on street level. The final marker is on a boat.
Cheaters Never Prosper - Venice Edit
- This is a simple mission. Just fight off the opponents that come at you using your bare hands. Even though you've no weapon equipped, you can still use the typical counter ability. Though you won't always KO an opponent with the first counter, repeatedly make use of the technique and you'll eventually drop the opponent.
- Eventually, somebody will send in enemies with swords. At this point, it's acceptable to break out your own weapon and fight back, or to use the weapons of disarmed guards, though it's certainly not necessary. (It is in fact entirely possible to defeat all of the enemies through accumulated damage from successful disarms, without ever actually using their weapons!) Defeat all of the opponents and the challenge ends. That should be the last of the carnival games!
Having a Blast - Venice Edit
- Get the golden mask back from the bad guy who stole it. His location is marked on the map, but only with a large, vague green area. Move into the green area and climb a building so that you can use eagle vision to scout the area. He's located at the intersection of two major roads, and once you spot him he'll start wandering off.
- Drop back down to street level, hire a group of courtesans, and start following the dude. If you lock onto him, you can use the courtesans to distract the target, causing him to stop in his tracks. Walk up behind the target and pick-pocket him to steal back your mask. With the mask in hand, you can now make your way toward the fancy party.
- Ezio equips the mask as you near the party and a man in front of the party entrance will step aside to let you in. The sister greets you as you enter and suggests you use her courtesans to help stay incognito. As an option; ie. it doesn't affect the mission: before heading into the party, cross the bridge where you met up with the sister and immediately turn right and walk behind a wooden structure towards a corner formed by the river's fence and a building. In that secluded corner, you'll witness a heated discussion between the brother of the soon-to-be-dead-Doge and a guest of the party. After that, you may then continue with mingering with the rest of the crowd unless you decided to skip this incident. After you walk right into the middle of the party, a cut scene shows the big bad thief walk into the party and charge his guards with finding you.
- The guards will slowly patrol the party, and if you get spotted the mission instantly ends. Do your best to blend. Find a group of partiers and stand in the middle of them, but don't expect the cover to last forever. As the guards move through, they bust up the groups and threaten to expose you. So as you wait in a crowd, be sure you look for an alternative hiding spot. Look around for a group of courtesans and lock onto them, ready to hire them and blend with them at a moment's notice.
- Another possibility is to go left immediately after entering and hang off the edge above the water next to the small building. You are just outside the boundaries, but your health regenerates faster than it falls, so it is simple to hang thier, and then swim over to the ship.
- Keep moving between blending spots until the timer runs down, at which point a cut scene shows the arrival of the Doge. The Doge stays on a boat just off the water. Hire a fresh group of courtesans and meander toward the boat, waiting at the short fence. The sister gives you the suggestion to use your pistol to take out the Doge from afar—sounds good to us!
- Blast the Doge and then make a hasty retreat from the area. You need to become anonymous to complete the mission, so just jump into a river and swim under a bridge.
DNA Sequence 10: Force Majeure Edit
An Unpleasant Turn of Events - Venice Edit
- Find Antonio in the north of Venice and he'll tell you about your next assassination target, Silvio. When the cut scene ends, so does the mission.
Caged Fighter - Venice Edit
- Travel across town, where you'll encounter an injured soldier on the rooftops, who gives you some new information on finding Bartolomeo, who should in turn help you with Silvio. You get a large green area added to your map, but note that it's overlapped by a restricted area. Expect trouble.
- Take to the rooftops and make your way toward the target. It'll be hard to spot Bartolomeo from the rooftops since he's caged inside, but you can easily spot the semi-circle of guards surrounding him. From the rooftops, target the guards and you can take out two of them with an assassination, leaving just two more to kill. Fight them off, and then unlock Bartolomeo.
- As Bart breaks out, more enemy guards appear. Fight them off, and then start making your way toward the new target to the south. Unfortunately, Bart isn't a climber, so you'll have to stick to the streets. Do your best to avoid guards along the way. While they won't necessarily bother you if you've got a low level of notoriety, Bartolomeo will pick fights with every guard he sees. And he is not good at fighting. Ol' Bart will end up getting the short end of the stick in every fight, so you have to save him. Thankfully, since he's picking the fights the guards won't notice you, and you can just walk up behind them for easy assassinations.
- But again, it's best to try and avoid guards altogether. When you reach the waypoint, a cut scene quickly interrupts you and leaves you with a couple of guards that you must fight. Kill 'em off and then open a nearby gate to close the mission.
Leave No Man Behind - Venice Edit
- Move to the first target and climb to the top of the building in the center of the restricted area. From the rooftop you can spot three guards outside the gate holding the prisoners. Assassinate two of them in one move and then kill off the other so that you can open the gate and free the prisoners. They'll follow you, but like Bartolomeo they have no idea how to climb.
- Another map marker appears to the east, marking another group of soldiers to free. Normally you need to be out of combat in order to open the gate holding in the prisoners, but if your crew is fighting the guards you should actually be able to unlock the gate. When the gate is unlocked, a quick cut scene interrupts the battle and essentially completes the fight for you.
- A third map marker leads you to the last batch of prisoners, and again you can just charge the gate, let your crew pick a fight, and then release the prisoners to end the mission without actually having to fight.
Assume the Position - Venice Edit
- You're given command of a group of soldiers and tasked with bringing them to three different locations. Like Bartolomeo, they can't climb and they'll also pick fights with any guards with whom you cross paths. Watch your map as you run toward the target and do your best to avoid red dots that mark guards. When you reach the target, you'll find a few guards standing inside a small yard. Take them out, then step inside the yard to hit a glowing waypoint.
- A second marker appears on your map when you've killed the first batch of guards. Again, make your way there while doing your best to avoid guards along the way. There are more guards at the map marker location, and another waypoint appears when you've cleared them out. A third marker leads you to the last group of enemy guards. When you've killed them, hit the waypoint for a final cut scene to close out the mission.
Two Birds, One Blade - Venice Edit
- Visit Bartolomeo again for the last mission in this memory sequence. The first step is to climb the tallest tower in the area so that Ezio can set off a firework. The tallest tower is marked on the map for you. The west side of the tower provides the best climbing surface, letting you easily ascend to the top. Reach the very tip of the cross and you'll trigger a fresh cut scene.
- Quickly get back down to street level to help Bartolomeo, who's not doing a great job of defending himself against Dante. Perform a leap of faith in the northeast direction and then quickly make your way to the new map marker. When you find Bartolomeo and his crew in a fight, try to spot out Dante (he's got a long robe and an axe) and focus your fighting on him. His axe is heavy and powerful, so you'll need to use disarms and sidesteps to defeat him. Damage Dante enough and another cut scene will interrupt the action.
- Dante starts running away from the melee, leading you to Silvio Barbarigo. Run after him, and fast. Lock on for easy tracking and Dante will lead you through a line of enemy soldiers before he stops right next to Silvio. Break through the line of soldiers and you can perform a double assassination on the two targets. Mission complete.
- You can also run right, towards a circular building. Climb up it, and then run across the masts of the ships until you get to the ship Dante and Silvio end up on. You can then air assassinate them both without worrying about guards.
DNA Sequence 11: Alter Egos Edit
All Things Come to He Who Waits - Venice Edit
- After parting ways with Leonardo, break into the walled-off area to the northeast and trigger this mission via a waypoint on the parapet walk. After the cut scene, you need to trail a courier that zigs a zagging path through the city. Stay far enough behind him that he doesn't get curious, but also be sure to keep him in your sights. If he gets separated from you by a wall, a countdown timer hurries you to catch back up.
- Occasionally the target will stop and look behind him to make sure no one's following. Don't worry too much about getting spotted as he doesn't become suspicious instantly. If he does see you, just turn away and walk further from him until the courier gets back to walking. After hitting a checkpoint, the courier crosses through a line of soldiers and if you try the same you'll be instantly spotted. From here, you need to take to the rooftops.
- The target eventually goes through another line of soldiers, at which point you get a quick break by way of a cut scene. After the scene plays out, you need to secretly infiltrate the building and kill the courier to steal his outfit. Climb the face of the building and, once you reach the top, look to the right. There's a pile of hay you can dive into on the ground level.
- Hop out of the hay just long enough to get the attention of the guard on the ground level before hopping back into the hay stack. The guard will wander over to inspect, which lets you get a silent assassination from your hiding spot. With that guard taken care of, you can walk behind the target ahead and assassinate him to steal his outfit and end the mission.
Play Along - Venice Edit
- At the start of the mission, you simply need to follow the leader through the city. Do your best not to bump into anyone, as Ezio will drop the chest if you do. Eventually, you reach the end of the trail and a cut scene takes over.
- Now the mission gets serious. You've got to defeat Rodrigo Borgia. In the first stage of the fight, you're best off using a sword and aggressively throwing strikes at Rodrigo. He'll naturally block most everything, and you can't get a quick kill, but you'll whittle away at his health, slowly but surely. Be ready to counter his attacks when he throws them, but if you're aggressive enough you can back Rodrigo into a corner and he won't be able to do much.
- Eventually, Rodrigo calls in some backup. At this point, ditch your sword for your bare hands and using disarm techniques to defeat the opponents around you. Don't worry about attacking Rodrigo — you just need to kill all of his backup to progress to the next stage of the fight. The dudes with spears are by far the most dangerous and, unless you've got a spear of your own to counter them, a disarm is the best way to take them out. You can also, if you prefer to not take excessive damage, use a Smoke Bomb to stun them and then just stab them all with your Hidden Blade.
- When you've defeated all of Rodrigo's men, you get some help while even more of Rodrigo's dudes show up. Again, it is best to continue sticking to disarms to clear the enemies, ignoring Rodrigo until all of the lesser baddies are killed. When it's just Rodrigo left, equip a sword and go back to your aggressive offense. When he's worn down, a cut scene closes out the mission.
DNA Sequence 12: Battle of Forlì (DLC) Edit
- If you have completed the game, when you choose your saved game and if you have downloaded the DLC, it will automatically take you to the DLC.
- Rebecca says that she was able to encode the damage that was made on the corrupted sequences and that they are avaliable to the player to access.
A Warm Welcome - Romagna Edit
(Romagna, 1488)
- The first thing to do is to simply walk towards the checkpoint and it will suddenly turn to a cutscene.
- The cutscene involves Ezio, Mario, Leonardo and Niccolò standing around an ancient object. Unaware of what it does, they simply mystify it. Ezio mentions that Rodrigo Borgia reffered to it as the Apple, to which Leonardo mentions "Eve's Apple". To anybody else who touches it, it does nothing. But when Ezio touches it, bright symbols and ancient writing fill up the entire room. Then Niccolò tells Ezio to protect it with his life, in which Mario suggests to take it to Forlì. He tells him that it can be well protected there and that Ezio will come to meet Caterina Sforza, which Ezio is surprised about and excited about meeting again.
- You will be back at Romagna, where infront of you will be a group of people. When you walk towards them, speak to Caterina Sforza. Your first mission is to simply accompany Caterina and Niccolò back to Forlì. Whilst on the way there, you will see citizens running away from the city. A citizen stops to tell Caterina that the Orsi Brothers are attacking the city. While suggestions occur that they are after the apple, they are really after Riario's map. You then must run to the gates with Niccolò and Caterina. On the way, Templar guards will attack you.
- When you reach the gates, you realise the gates are locked. There is another way, in which there is an underground tunnel. You must head to the tunnel, and unlock the gates, defeating guards along the way (Killing them is optional in some cases). To unlock the gates, you must climb the ladder to the right of the gates. Then you must kill the two guards Caterina has been shouting and then open the gates.
Bodyguard - Forlì Edit
- Your mission here is to get Caterina and Niccolò to safety in the Rocca di Ravaldino, Caterina's citadel. This time, you will have guards you definitly need to kill in order to pass along the way.
- Once you arrive, you will be ambushed. Kill all the guards and run into the citadel. Afterwards, there will be a cutscene where you learn that two of Caterina's children are missing. Then you find out that the templars are breeching the citadel, in which Caterina asks you to stop them.
Holding the Fort - Forlì Edit
- Your mission is to simply kill all the attackers. You have to be very careful however, as Niccolò and Caterina are still fighting and if their health goes to zero, you have to restart the mission.
- Speak to Caterina afterwards. Once you do so, a voice will call out Caterina's name. The Orsi Brothers. They tell Caterina that they have her children, and that they can exchange them for the map they want. They also mention about the apple which they wish to aquire aswell. The brothers tell Caterina that they have one hour in which to exchange before they kill her children.
Godfather - Romagna Edit
- Your mission is to get back her children. You have only ten minutes to complete the mission in however. Locate the children on the map and reach them before the time runs out. You will be attacked by guards so do so as quickly as possible.
- Once you reach the district, it is obvious on where the first child is, which is around the area of guards. Once you kill the guards and speak to the first child, who is named Bianca Riario. You learn that her brother is being kept at the lighthouse. She will then run away and that will be 1/2 children freed.
- Head to the lighthouse, which is located south-east of the map. Unlike the first area, if you step into the area, you will step into a restricted area, so if you are around a guard too long, they will attack you.
- You must climb the lighthouse in order to reach the second child. Once you reach it, you will see one of the two Orsi brothers, in which you must assassinate.
- Free the second child, named Ottaviano Riario, and the mission will be complete.
- Head west of the map for your next mission.
- At the same time as unlocking this, you recieve a special mission, which can be found north of the map.
Checcomate - Romagna Edit
- Once you reach the location, you realise the second Orsi brother, Checco Orsi, has the apple, and that chasing after the children was a trick to lower the defences.
- Head south to the map, and when you do, you will see Checco running. However, when you chase after him, guards will do so too, so kill him as quick as you can.
- If you chase him long enough, you will find a horse, in which you can use to speed up to him and attack him.
- You take the apple back from him and kill him. During the assassination sequence, just as you kill Checco, he will stab a knife into Ezio, in which he pulls out. Ezio will then fall onto the floor and the apple will fall out of his hands. A man then stands over it, and when he picks it up, you realise his left hand is missing his little finger. He then takes the apple out of the bag and then everything blanks out.
Far From The Tree - Romagna Edit
- Ezio then wakes up next to Caterina. He tells her the story and that he has to find him. Caterina then gives you Riario's map, which shows the locations of all the Codex Pages. She tells Ezio of a place where she has seen people like the man Ezio saw, and to start there. He and Caterina say their farewells.
- Head north of the map, where you will recieve your final mission.
- The mission is to search the abbey which can be located in the Romagna wetlands, and to search for the black robed monk who took the apple. It is a restricted area so be warned. If you head to the right side of the abbey, you will see a man being confronted by two guards. Kill them and then talk to the man.
- He tells you to head to the south of Forlì. Once you head into the area needed, everybody will fear you as you killed Brother Stefano. Three main targets run away from you, in which you must only tackle down one in order to get information. When Ezio tells him he is looking for a man missing a finger, he tells you about Girolamo Savonarola, whom in the actual history of him, was a main part in the Bonfire of the Vanities.
- Rebecca then tells you the rest of the data has been corrupted, and that she needs time in order to fix it.
DNA Sequence 13: Bonfire Of The Vanities (DLC) Edit
Florentine Fiasco - Florence Edit
(Florence - 1497)
- You'll end up in the same place as you did in the previous DLC. Walk towards the round circle which would take you to where you needed to go.
- Do so again in Florence and your mission will be to meet up with Machiavelli in the Oltrarno District of Florence.
- You may need to do some fighting as blocking your path immediatly is a long line of guards. Kill them all and move towards the checkpoint. When you meet him, you find out Girolamo Savonarola has taken control of Firenze (Florence), and that getting back the Apple won't be as easy as it may seem.
- Machiavelli asks you to talk with him. When you arrive at your destination, you see many bodies scattered over the floor, with the emblem of Borgia.
- You then need to escort Machiavelli to the Palazzo Pitti. Ezio comes up with the plan to attack the lieutenants so that Savonarola is defenseless, which would give them a chance to strike.
- Each one of the guards is a different mission. It does not matter what order you complete the next 9 missions in.
Still Life - Florence Edit
- The mission here is to assassinate the beguilded artist, who is burning his own paintings in the bonfire. The area you kill him in is heavily guarded and it is a restricted area and you will be terribly outnumbered, so it would be best to just kill him and run. Once you come into combat with a guard, he will flee the area, so you have to chase after him.
- Once you kill him, you need to become anonymous. The citizens then leave the bonfire.
Climbing the Ranks - Florence Edit
- You end up walking into a trap, where a captain has been told that someone would end up apposing Savonarola. After the captain talks, guards jump into the ring and start attacking. You can either fight them, or just climb to kill the captain. Be cautious that there are many of them, including archers, so killing the captain straight away is the best option.
- Afterwards, you need to become anonymous.
Upward Mobility - Florence Edit
- In this memory, you have to chase down a nobleman, who is to tell Savonorola of Ezio's treachery. He will summon guards to slow you down. It is wise to try and run from them while running after the nobleman. When you catch up with him, assassinate him.
- Afterwards, become anonymous.
Last Rites - Florence Edit
-
There is a priest at the top of the Duomo singing to himself. You need to climb the tower without being seen by anyone and assassinate him. If you are seen, the memory will desynchronize.
- Your best bet is to go around the left side of the Duomo. If you go to the right, there is a bunch of guards that stand guard, and are not patrolling. On the left side, there are patrolling guards, which all you can do really is hide from then until they are gone. If you come into contact, the memory desyncronises.
- When going to the left side, climb onto the building to your left and on the Duomo, you will see a ledge you can stand on. Jump onto it and climb the building. Assassinate any guards that walk by while you are hiding (that you are allowed to do, as long as they do not see you). From then on its just climbing to the top. There are two guards in the same area as him. Wait until they are both out of view before you assassinate him. He will not run from you or fight back.
- Once you kill him, you complete the mission (no need to run or become anonymous).
Port Authority - Florence Edit
-
In this memory, you must board the ship and kill the merchant without being detected. This memory is a little more tricky. The boat is heavily guarded and there is barely a way in without being detected. The way to do it is to climb onto the ledges of the ship and docks and slowly pick away the guards one by one. Be careful as there are some area where guards are in full view of other guards being assassinated. Work your way to the back and attack the two guards by the wheel. Get back to the side of the ship as there are patrols at the bottom of the ship. When you are ready to continue, wait for the patrols to start walking further away from you before you go and assassinate your target. For a slightly easier solution to this problem, simply swim around to the back of the ship and climb up on the side that is not facing the dock. There is a guard walking along this side of the boat. When he leaves the section of the ship with the wheel, climb onto the deck and throw a smoke bomb. All of the guards will be suspicious, but you will be free to assassinate your target for 15 seconds, which is more than enough time.
- Another method is to bide your time in the water on the other side of the dock with the guard patrolling. Once the patrolling guard turns around, swim to the side of the boat facing the docks (make sure the guard on the docks has his back turned) and climb onto the side. Make sure the guards are not facing you for a short while (because 2 seconds is all you need). Climb onto the ledge, hop onto the ledge facing you and assassinate him from there. Use a smoke bomb to cover your escape and swim/run/hide until you become anonymous.
- An easier strategy is to shoot the guards from land. The merchant will eventually come to investigate, allowing a clear shot. Ezio will then miraculously teleport to his body to hear the last words.
Run and become anonymous.
Surgical Strike - Florence Edit
-
There is a doctor that is extorting the citizens, who will only treat those who submit themselves. You must assassinate him without being seen by guards.
- Your best bet to do this is to go and blend into the main crowd in front of the doctor. Head to the right flank and you'll spot a small group of four priests cloaked in black. They will move back and forth from the crowd to behind the guards. When the priests are closest to the crowd, quickly move from the crowd and blend in with the priests. Keep following the priests around and behind the guards, making sure you're blending at all times. Finally, when you're closest to the doctor, break out into a run and assassinate the doctor.
- For a more straightforward approach, blend with the crowd infront of the doctor, and use the hidden gun while guards aren't around.
- Guards will attack you once you kill him, so become anonymous. Once you do, the citizens will leave the area.
Hitting the Hay - Florence Edit
- In this one, you must assassinate a farmer without alerting any of his henchmen. To do this, climb down off the buildings. Guards will only seem to notice you more if you are in the restricted area. You will see the farmer patrolling with some henchman behind him. Enter the area, and wait until he starts to walk towards you and then assassinate him.
- Run and become anonymous afterwards. Citizens will then be able to walk through the area.
Arch Nemesis - Florence Edit
-
In this mission, you need to assassinate the condottiero guarding the Ponte Vecchio, who only will allow people pass who give themselves to Savonarola. Between him are two guards, and again all over the place, there are many guards. He will attack you and will not run off.
- Once you kill him, return anonymous. The citizens of Florence are then able to walk freely.
- There is a rare glitch on the PC version where if you buy ammunition from the blacksmith once the mission is started, the game will go to the cutscene where the condottiero is speaking his last words. When the cutscene is completed, you will recieve your florins and the mission will end as if you had assassinated him.
Doomsday - Florence Edit
-
There is a preacher telling the citizens that the end is near, and that they need to beg for gods forgiveness. The place is heavily guarded again, and as soon as you come into contact with a guard, he will start to flee, which you must chase him down and assassinate.
- Once you kill him, become anonymous. The citizens then leave the area.
Power to the People - Florence Edit
- Once you have killed all 9, head back to the south of Florence. A cutscene will emerge where all the assassins are in a group. Savonarola speaks infront of a huge crowd of people rioting over his actions. Savonarola asks them why they are rioting and not cleansing themselves, filling bonfires. Savonarola will hold up the apple, in which you will need to press the allocated button in order to use a knife to make him drop it. Afterwards, a group of people will carry him away. A templar will then take the Apple on the floor, and you must chase him down and kill him. Guards will also start attacking you, so kill him quickly. The mission will end as soon as you kill him.
- During the cutscene, there will be an action button:
- [optional button] hit: Ezio throws a knife at Savonarola's hand to make him drop the apple /// miss: Machiavelli throws the knife instead
Mob Justice - Florence Edit
- Travel to the middle of Florence. The mission here is to just attend his excecution.
- You will then see Savonarola be tied up to a post and the area around him set alight.
- Ezio mentions that he does not deserve to die so slowly, so Ezio must assassinate him and give him a quick death, instead of a slow one. You are on a 30 second timer, so be quick. Just run up towards him and you will complete the mission. Ezio will then make a speech on how the citizens must choose their own path, and not follow others. The memory then ends with Ezio walking away with the other assassins.
DNA Sequence 14: Veni, Vidi, Vici Edit
(Roma- 1499)
Beginning - Monteriggioni Edit
-
Before you can really start this memory sequence, you need to first collect and have deciphered all thirty of the game's codex pages. They're scattered throughout the many maps of the game, and if you haven't been collecting them you'll need to do a lot of traveling. Though there are thirty codex pages in total, you should already have 14 of them just by playing through the game. The other 16 are distributed between the other cities as follows: Venice - 6, Florence - 5, Tuscany - 2, Forlì - 3.
- Each codex is in a room guarded by a row of enemies, and you need to be Anonymous to enter (otherwise a forcefield blocks your entry). You have a lot of options when it comes to breaking in past them, including simply killing the guards. If you want to be more subtle, you can hire courtesans, mercenaries or thieves to distract the guards while you waltz in. Alternatively, you can drop a dead body near the guards and they'll move over to inspect it, letting you roll right in behind them. An even easier way is to throw several handfuls of money in front of them, and slip inside while they're filling their pockets. If you throw only one or two, they may not take the bait, or worse, may go back into their guarding position before you get out, which will result in them becoming instantly alerted as you leave.
- When you've collected all of the codex pages, you'll need to have them translated by Leonardo. The game doesn't really tell you so, but Leo's moved into the Villa Monteriggioni, in the same downstairs room as Claudia and the architect. It's represented on the map as a large "L" which only shows when you have codex pages to translate. Bring Leonardo the codexes and you can then talk to Mario in the adjacent room for the next mission.
X Marks the Spot - Monteriggioni Edit
- Activate the eagle vision ability and then walk up to the wall of codex pages to bring up a puzzle. You will see the faint red outlines of a picture. Rotate all of the pieces around into their correct positions in order to complete the picture. Start by going around the perimeter of the puzzle and arranging the border—it's the easiest. Once you've got the border in place, go for the inner pieces. Note: if you're having trouble with the inner pieces, there are several assassins symbols scattered throughout the map (often with pieces of the symbol on more than a page). Making those symbols right side up will result in the page having a proper orientation.
- The pieces should eventually form a familiar map of the world, with the continent arrangements you should know. When the puzzle is complete, so is the mission.
In Bocca Al Lupo - Rome Edit
- Talk to Mario and he'll send you on your final mission, to assassinate Rodrigo Borgia in the Vatican in Rome. The mission is more difficult than any other you've done up to this point, and it requires much stealth. First, it requires you to break into the Vatican. Climb the wall to the west and use the beams sticking out from the wall to jump to a hanging platform to the south.
- From the platform, jump north onto the wall of the compound and make a straight-forward climb to the top. Beware, as there are guards waiting at the top of the tower. You can stealth assassinate one of them from the far side of the wall, but you may call their attention with that attack. Either way, quickly hop over the wall and fight the guards.
- With the guards dead, locate a lever on the northern wall and pull it to open a gate to the next area. There are two guards at the far end of the next yard. If you're quick, you can run across the yard and execute a double assassination while they try to figure out what you're doing. The gate ahead is closed, but you can climb to a level above (on the right) to find a lever that opens the gate. Just watch out for the lone guard up top, next to it.
- You'll have to fight a host of guards in the next area, so be ready for a brawl. You can get the jump on a couple with a double assassination. When the guards are killed, climb to the top of a tower to the west to hit the glowing waypoint. A cut scene leaves Ezio on a horse.
- Direct your horse to jump over the obstacles to avoid getting knocked off by the guards. Though if you do, you can stand and fight, or simply hop back on the horse and take off again. There's a large jump that needs to be hit at full gallop to get over. Once over, expect to get knocked off the horse again. This time, you'll want to kill the attackers.
- With the enemies dead, climb the tower ahead and take out the two guards at the top. From the top of the tower, you can make a leap of faith into a hay stack below.
- There are more enemies on the next stretch of parapet, so expect a fight before you can climb up the next tower. And again, at the top of the second tower are more enemies to kill, and another leap of faith to make into a pile of hay at the bottom. When you land in the hay here, however, don't get out. There are a series of guards patrolling the parapet walk and you can take them all out with stealth if you're careful. Wait in the first pile of hay as one guard patrols by and assassinate him silently. Then, when the coast is clear, move out to the second pile of hay for another assassination.
- Climb to the next tower and hang on the ledge, waiting for a patrolling guard to come near so you can pull him over the edge. Two other guards are facing the opposite direction and you can double assassinate the pair by running up behind them. Jump off the other end of the tower and you can get the jump on another guard that's standing alone.
- There's one more massive batch of guards to fight off in the next area. Be prepared for a grueling melee, and use all of your skills to fight off the attackers. Using a smoke bomb and the hidden blade is a quick and easy way to defeat the large group of guards. When you've cleared the yard, climb a nearby scaffolding to a level up above where you'll find a switch that opens a gate into the Vatican.
- From this point on, you can't be spotted or it will be an automatic game over. Fortunately, the only folks around that know you're not supposed to be there are the guards. The priests, dressed in their dark robes, have no problem with you walking in the middle of their circles to hide. In the first hall, skip between circles of priests to get down the hall. There's one group of priests that patrols around the hall. Jump in their group and tag along to reach the far end of the hall.
- Silently assassinate the guard at the south end of the hall and pull a switch to open a door to the next hall. To the left is a guard that patrols in a circle pattern, moving between the northern and southern halves of the hall. When he's behind the wall to the left, move forward and take cover in the next group of priests. The second section of the hall is a bit tougher, as the guards at the far end will spot you if you repeat the last move. When the second patrolling guard goes behind the wall to the left, follow him slowly. You can slip behind him and behind the other guards staring down the hallway to open the next gate.
- Finally, you have reached the massive hall where Rodrigo Borgia is speaking. Move along the high platforms to cross to the far side of the room and position yourself directly above Rodrigo. Lock onto him and execute an assassination. Ezio jumps down and a cut scene shows Rodrigo's "death." Alternately, you can climb down and blend into the crowds (you will be invisible as long as you blend) and assassinate Rodrigo face to face; but you'll have to be quick, and avoid using any other weapons but the hidden blade.
- Borgia won't be so easily killed, so you need to fight him straight on.You start with a bit of an advantage, as you've got clones of Ezio fighting with you. They won't really do any damage, but they will distract Rodrigo for you. Be aggressive in your attacks, constantly throwing sword strikes. Don't bother trying to counter at this point—if you're too cautious, Rodrigo will kill all of your clones and nullify the advantage. As an alternative, a couple of throwing knives will end the fight rather fast with the cover of your clones.
- Rodrigo eventually retreats. Use Eagle Vision to spot a couple of spots on the wall that you can activate to open the secret passage that Rodrigo escaped into. Run down the secret hall, and Ezio will confront the enemy for the last time.
- Don't give Rodrigo a chance to retaliate. Grab the man and throw him against a wall. As he tries to get up, you can hit Rodrigo Borgia with two kicks and then immediately grab him again. Repeatedly throw him, kick him, and pick him back up. This is the easiest part of the fight, and also the last. When you defeat Rodrigo, the vault will open. Enter inside and the final cutscene will initiate.
Credits Sequence (September 9th 2012) Edit
- After the cut scene ends, head down to the compound and kill the Abstergo men with your new hidden blade. Since Desmond has learned Ezio's skills through the bleeding effect, you may also disarm the Abstergo men and take their weapons which act like maces. After thats done, a short cutscene will play where Warren Vidic will tell you to not enjoy your escape, for it is temporary. Then you and the other assassins will escape to a northern cabin.
- After the credits you are still able to play the game.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Sequence 1: Peace At Last Edit
Peace is Broken Edit
1. ACHIEVEMENT: You’ll notice that right after you are thrown in midst of one of Ezio’s memories, you’ll automatically receive the Technical Difficulties Achievement.
2. Following the cryptic message from Minerva, head down the hallway. Hold the head button (Y or ) to use your Eagle Vision. Look for the highlighted sections of the wall and climb up to Mario.
3. Follow Mario down the hallway. Make your way past the vindictive monks and continue to follow Mario across the courtyard. After he opens the door, take out the attacking guards.
4. Stay close to Mario after he takes off down the stairs and to the right. He likes to free-run too, so watch for him leaping to and from the tops of buildings. Fight off all attacking guards along the way and get to the top of the lookout tower.
5. On horseback, follow Mario into Monteriggioni. Before you follow Claudia up stairs, head back down towards the exclamation point on the left of your map. Talk to the woman next to the box of flowers. Follow her back up the villa steps where you will drop the flowers off.
6. After she promises to “repay” you for your services, head back down the stairs and go to the exclamation point on the right. When you arrive, talk to the bearded man in front of the horse stalls.
7. Simply get close to the horse and click the empty hand button (B or ) while behind it to mount it. The horse will keep running to avoid you, so make sure to jump on quickly whenever it stops. Bring the horse back to the man to complete the side mission.
8. Head back through the city walls and go to the final exclamation point on your map. You will find a mercenary testing out a cannon high above the city walls on a tower. After you are informed that you need to find the engineer, turn around so your facing the villa and head left along the city walls and follow the blue scope on your map to find him.
9. After you talk to him, follow him back to the cannon. Walk up to the cannon and press the empty hand button (B or ) to use it. Pres RT or R1 to fire and destroy five of the flashing targets down below.
10. Head for the blue scope on your map, which will take you all the way back up to the Villa steps and through its doors. Following your explanation of your encounter with Minerva, head up the stairs and through the door in the back left corner.
11. After you and Caterina Sforza share an intimate moment, your bedroom will be decimated by cannon balls. After you talk with Mario, head for the yellow scope and ride your horse to the city wall. After you lose your horse, jump across the planks and climb up the partially broken ladder to the left.
12. Continue to climb up the wall, then turn left and man the cannon. Destroy the long row of enemy cannons or the approaching siege tower down below. Since you can only load one cannon ball at a time, make sure you aim precisely and make each shot count.
13. Once your cannon is destroyed, man the cannon to the right. Don’t worry about the army –– aim for the cannons on the ridge right above them, or at the siege tower coming up the path. After you reach your next checkpoint, run through the doorway. Grab onto the rope of the lift in front of the blocked-off doorway.
14. Jump down the other side and defeat all of the soldiers. Once you defeat them, you’ll be seriously wounded from a gun shot. Fight off the next group of soldiers, but keep in mind that your health will be low.
15. Make your way up the Villa steps. Head straight for Claudia and save her from the soldiers. Head around the right side of the villa and escort her into the Sanctuary.
16. ACHIEVEMENT: Once inside, head down the steps. After the cut scene of you riding off to meet the Borgia Infantry, you’ll receive the Battle Wounds Achievement and complete the first sequence.
2012 - Monteriggioni Edit
1. Back in the present day as Desmond, head up the steps and follow the translucent figure to your right. Walk up and through the opening in the fence and dive into the pile of hay below.
2. Head down the tunnel. Stand on the platform to the left of the gate and press any button to open it. Free-run up the wall in front of you and climb up to the next level. Follow the path around to meet up with Lucy.
3. Once you reach the ledge that you can’t climb, stand on the lighted platform again. Follow Lucy across the beams and onto the next platform. Head through the tunnel and down the ladder.
4. Jump across the beams, then climb down the wall in front of you. Stand on the platform to pull the lever for Lucy. Use the crates as a step and jump up the wall. Climb up the ledge and swing across the poles.
5. Hold any button near the glowing light to pull the lever. Once Lucy calls you to come over, jump into the water, swim over to her and climb up the planks. Step up on the crates and scale the makeshift ladder. Make your across to the left, drop down and pull the lever.
6. Cross the planks and pull the next lever. Turn right down the path and continue to follow the visions of Ezio. Press any button at the edge of the bridge to give Lucy a boost across. Jump across the chasm.
7. Head down the hallway and through the hole in the wall instead of heading upstairs. Swing down across the poles and jump across the gap. Hop onto the platform in the left corner and jump across toward the beam along the wall. Move around the the left and climb up the beams.
8. Walk along the narrow beam and jump into the opening on your left to pull the lever. Walk back out onto the beam and follow Lucy up the stairs. Repeat the step of giving her a boost and crossing over the gap.
9. Climb down the ladder and jump out onto the platform. Jump across to the left and make your way up the beams. Once up top, step on the circle and pull the lever. Step toward the edge of the bridge and repeat the teamwork routine. Head up the tunnel toward the sanctuary.
10. Follow Lucy up the stairs. Use your Eagle Vision and open the large door to your right when you reach the dead end. Follow the nerdy fellow up the stairs and out into the courtyard.
11. The first circuit box you have to reroute will be located on the wall to the left of the door. From there, head diagonally toward the corner of the next building. Head all the way around it and down the path between the two buildings. Continue down the stairs right in front of you and use your Eagle Vision to find the next circuit box on the building to your left.
12. Turn right, step up the pile of crates and jump across the planks to get over the wall. From there, jump diagonally down toward the pole and onto the nearby roof. Head straight down the building and follow the street around to the left. After you pass a white car, turn right to find another circuit box on the wall behind the pile of trash cans.
13. Turn right past the red car, then left to find the fourth circuit box on the corner of the building. (Keep in mind that there are more than four to choose from.)
14. ACHIEVEMENT: Once you are back with your team, talk to all of them before hooking up to the animus. You will then earn the Sanctuary! Sanctuary! Achievement.
15. After you have tried of few of the training challenges, go to DNA, select the second sequence and begin by selecting the first memory. you will wake up in Roma.
Sequence 2: A Wilderness of Tigers Edit
As Good As New Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not drop below one health square.
1. Your first objective will be to find the doctor. Head for the blue scope on your map. The doctor isn't too difficult to find––he’s the one in the white, beak-like mask.
2. After he heals you, sprint toward for the church tower and climb to the apex to test out your abilities. Walk to the edge of the plank to expand your map, then perform a Leap of Faith.
3. Follow the guards down the path to the right. Make sure to maintain your distance so you don’t get spotted. Take it slow, use the crowds, or take to the roofs. After a lengthy pursuit, kill the six guards when the screen prompts you to do so before they kill the husband.
Tip: Be sure to keep an eye on your health, you don't have much to spare. Play defensively, and use medicine as needed.
Well Executed Edit
Full Synchronization: Kill Il Carnefice with the Hidden Blade.
1. In order to avenge the husband’s wife, you need to go hunt down Il Carnefice. Climb up the building in front of the large wall to get to his house on top of the hill. Once you reach his house, climb up on top of the roof. Lock onto Carnefice and kill him with a lethal strike from the roof.
2. Take out the surrounding guards in this area to complete the objective. You can loot the fallen enemies in order to get some extra money, bullets and throwing knives. Head for the exclamation point on your map to get your next objective.
New Man In Town Edit
Full Synchronization: Kill the Borgia Captain by throwing him into the breakable scaffold.
1. Simply accompany Machiavelli as you walk through the streets of Rome. When you reach the Blacksmith, purchase the Stilleto and Roman Spaulders (they will be found under the Small Weapons and Armor categories respectively).
2. After you purchase the items, continue to follow Machiavelli. When you reach the next checkpoint, you will have to kill the Borgia Captain. He will have two guards guarding the entryway to where he is located––get on a roof from the opposite side and take them out using some throwing knives.
3. If the Captain has not already been lured out, hop down, head through the entry way and kill him. He will take a few more hits than the average guard, but he shouldn’t be too difficult. He can easily be grabbed and thrown to fulfill Full Synch. Once he is dead, make a clairvoyant escape and meet back up with Machiavelli.
4. You will learn that your killing of the Captain won’t be enough and now you have to burn down the tower. Climb up to the top to watch it ignite. After it burns, walk toward the stable near where Machiavelli is standing to renovate the horse stable.

1. Begin by following Machiavelli to the Colosseum. When you arrive, save Machiavelli’s contact by hoping off your horse and killing the three guards. Follow the courier down the tunnel and tackle him when you get close enough.
2. Head for the exclamation point on your map to obtain your next objective.
Crepi Il Lupo Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not take any damage.
1. ACHIEVEMENT: You’ll be ambushed by a group of powerful attackers in wolf pelts. If you can perform a Speed Kill Streak of 10 you’ll receive the Serial Killer Achievement.
2. After the battle, head down the stairs and find the access grate nearby.
Tip: In order to complete a full synchronization of this memory you’ll need to not lose any health. Play defensively, using counter-kills/streaks. Remember that you can still counter-kill if attacked while performing an execution during a kill streak. Getting hit even if blocking fails full synchronization.
The Halls of Nero Edit
Full Synchronization: Complete the Memory in under 8 minutes.
1. For this objective you’ll have to pull the four levers located in the four corners of the room in order to find a way into the underground ruins. Jump across the pillars can be frustrating, so aim carefully or you’ll miss them. Once you get the first lever, the other three should be easy as long as you don’t fall.
2. Once all four levers have been pulled, jump down into the newly formed hole in the center of the room. Get out of the water and head through the opening with the white statue inside. Turn right, then right again where you will see another statue.
3. Climb up the statue and jump over to the left wall. Climb across to the right and around to the outside. As you turn inside the next entryway, jump across to the ledge on the other side.
4. Continue around to the right and pull yourself up on the plank. Jump out to the hanging chandelier and use your momentum to propel yourself over the gate to the left. Walk around the pathway and climb up the statue at the end. Face the gate and jump out to the beam.
5. Jump to the plank on the left wall. Jump out towards the hanging chandelier and use your momentum to swing yourself out onto the plank on the outside of the wall. Jump across to the next plank, then swing yourself from another chandelier and over the gate. Head up the stairs and pull the lever to the right of the door.
6. In order to get past the burning coals you’ll have to climb up the broken pillar on the right. Jump out to the statue, then across to the pillar on the other side. Climb all the way up and across the wall.
7. When you get as far as you can go, jump to the middle toward another broken statue. Climb up and jump over to the wall on the other side. Jump from the plank to the pole and swing down to ground level.
8. Just like before, get to the top of the statue and jump across to the left wall. Climb to the top. Jump across the steps, then move around the ledge to your right. Move all the way around and jump across to the ledge on the other side.
9. Move up to the ledge and around to the left so that you are inside the room. Move all the way around and jump out toward the pole. Swing down and jump across the steps and up onto the ledge over the gate.
10. After you drop down into the next area, head around the the center structure and climb up the steps to the left of the gate. Jump out onto the statue and jump across to the pole. Head down the pathway to the right.
11. Jump from the statue, to the pole, to the next statue. Jump toward the ledge on the right wall. Move across and jump to the ledge on the left wall before heading through the opening.
12. Head around to the right and up the rings. Jump out to the center structure. Climb around to the left and swing across the series of poles. Head into the center of the room near the burning fire.
13. Climb up the pillar to the right. Jump out to the ledge on the wall in front of you. Climb up and around to the plank on the right. Climb up to the next plank, then swing across the poles to the left to land on the balcony.
14. ACHIEVEMENT: Walk around the room and open all of the tiny treasure chests. Climb up the ladder and exit through the hatch to receive the Golden Boy Achievement.
15. ACHIEVEMENT: Once you are back outside, follow Machiavelli to the Tiber Island Hideout. Once inside, walk into the room with the flag of the Assassin’s logo over the doorway to complete the sequence.
Tip: If you find yourself having trouble, it's best to not worry about the 100% until you've played through once - it's much quicker to navigate if you already know where to go.
Roman Underground Edit
Arrive to Tiber Island to meet with Orsini and Machiavelli to meet about the state of the seedier elements of Roma.
Sequence 3: The Fighter, The Lover and The Thief Edit
1. Turn left, climb up the wall and get to the top of the building. Find the plank and press the head button (Y or ) to synchronize your map before jumping off. Swim out of the water and head for the next lookout point on your map (the center icon in the middle of the three exclamation points).
2. Once you get to the top, walk onto the plank and synchronize your map. After you jump from the plank, get up and head for the exclamation point in the Northeast corner of your map. After you head through the castle gate, approach and open the door just ahead.
Between A Rock And A Hard Place Edit
Full Synchronization: Kill only the Borgia Captain.
1. As soon as you start this objective, run past the fighting guards and chase after the Captain. After you kill him with a single lethal strike, run back down the path and jump down into the water on your left.
2. Climb up and around the nearby tower and once you get to the top, before igniting it, climb out onto the plank and synchronize your map. Get back inside the tower and press the empty hand button (B or ) to ignite it.
3. Follow the blue scope on your map and head back to Bartolomeo. After you talk with him, talk to the architect nearby to renovate Bartolomeo’s Barracks and complete the objective.
Tip: The Borgia Captain will be directly in front of you when you begin. He will run as soon as he sees you, be careful not to accidentally kill someone else while chasing the captain. At the tower, approaching from the water will have you at the backs of your enemies - they will not notice.
High-Stakes Negotiation Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not Swim.
1. After you talk to the mistress, begin the long jaunt to meet the slave traders. Along you journey, pick-pocket unsuspecting civilians to steal their money.
2. After you arrive at the boat and the traders kill the girl, take them all out. Pick-pocket your victims, then head back to the Rosa in Fiore. Keep in mind that once you leave you’ll have to deal with a group of Borgia guards.
3. When you arrive at the Rosa, move around to the back and make your way up onto the balcony. After you talk to your mother and sister, head down to the other side of the building and talk to the architect about renovating the Rosa.
4. Exit the newly renovated Rosa and head for the final exclamation point on your map.
Tip: Be careful while fighting the slavers that you don't get knocked off the boat. Keep away from the exposed edges.
Double Agent Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not be detected while reducing Notoriety. Remain undetected until returning to La Volpe.
1. Head for the yellow scope on your map to meet with La Volpe. Once you reach the building of the location, climb to the top and drop down into the partial balcony to find him.
2. Switch to your throwing knives to help you quickly kill the six guards down below before the thief dies. Do your best to blend in with the crowd as you escort the thief to meet back up with La Volpe. Keep in mind that the guards will be looking for you, so stay close to large groups of people.
3. After you find La Volpe, you will have to lose your notoriety by killing officials, bribing heralds and ripping down posters. You look on your map for the icons to perform these actions. After you perform at least two of them, meet La Volpe by following the blue scope on your map.
4. After you talk with him, go and talk to the nearby architect. Exit the Thieves Guild and head for the next exclamation point.
5. ACHIEVEMENT: Once you arrive and talk with your inner circle, head for the blue scope on your map to talk with the guard and complete the sequence.
Tip: Being low-key is everything here. Stick with the crowds if the guards are near, don't be spotted removing a poster or killing a witness. Once you've removed Notoriety, don't get in a fight, stay off the rooftops.
Sequence 4: Den of Thieves Edit
Castello Crasher Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not be detected.
1. Head for the yellow scope on your map. The best way to infiltrate the castle is go to the right side, underneath the bridge, follow the posts and platforms. Climb up the poles to the left, jump across to the ledge and climb over to the bridge to reach the checkpoint.
2. You will come across an area with a pile of hay and three guards. The only guard who walks near the hay will occasionally check it for stowaways. Use this opportunity to pull him in. The other two won't see you at this distance, use a ranged weapon when you get close enough to take them down before they spot you. Afterward climb up the ladder for a cutscene.
4. Climb up the tower and perform a stealth kill on the unsuspecting guard standing near the ledge. Climb up and move across to the left, keeping in mind that the red dots on your map are guards.
5. Jump into the corner to reach the checkpoint. Lock onto the passing guard down below and jump down to perform a stealth attack. Climb up the stack of crates and swing across the poles.
6. Make your way onto the beam, then take out the guard across the way on the roof by using your ranged weapon. Swing across the poles and onto the rooftop, where you take out the other roof patroller from range before he spots you.
7. Cross over the cords (the guards below will not see you) to the next checkpoint, and climb over to the left so you can go up. Be mindful of the guard further left, he will spot you while you climb upwards, make sure to go when his back is turned. Work your way up by jumping across the planks, but if you miss your jump, there's another path upwards inlaid in the wall. Once at the window, there's another cutscene.
8. Swing across the poles and planks until you come to one with nowhere to jump, and the checkpoint below you. Let go and catch the board beneath you, which shows a cutscene of Cesare fleeing the Castello on horseback.
10. Climb on top of the board you landed on, run up the wall to catch the ledge, and make your way right to the next checkpoint where you find Caterina.
11. After you see where Caterina is being held, run up the wall and make your way to the top. Before you pull yourself up, continue to climb around to the left and take out the guard from behind when he isn’t looking.
12. Return to the ledge and climb further left, the guard further over stops in front of a ledge, send him to the bottom.
13. When you see the stairs that lead up, turn back and head down the stairs on your right. Be careful because there will be a guard passing by. Once you take him out, turn left and then right up the stairs. (Note: Do not use a throwing knife - it will just piss him off. You'll be detected instantly. You can use a crossbow if you're quick enough on the draw when he appears in the doorway)
14. When you hear Caterina’s voice, you must wait for the guards to reach her cell first, then take out the two guards, starting with the one who is behind the other.
Tip: The guards are virtually all near-sighted. If you see a guard in the distance facing you, that doesn't mean he sees you. If a guard notices you, you will have ample time to whip out the crossbow and shoot them dead. Do NOT use Throwing Knives, in some cases the attack isn't fatal, and you're instantly discovered. If you run low on ammunition, loot guards' corpses.
Femme Fatale Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not lose more than 10 health squares.
1. Make you way back out into the courtyard. Take out the load guard on the other side, then climb up the door on the right wall. Make your way up the wall and take out the lone guard over on the area to the left.
2. Turn right and climb up to the top of the shorter roof. Walk to the edge and drop down onto the winding roof below. Once Lucrezia has been left alone, walk to the part of the roof so that you are standing directly over her. Drop down onto the canopy, then drop down next to her.
3. After you kill the guards, walk through the gate and take ahold of Lucrezia. Walk back through the gate and head for Caterina’s cell. Unfortunately, you will have to fight off guards along the way. Each time you do this, Lucrezia will flee. So make your kills quick so that she doesn’t run too far off. Lucrezia tends to break free right after the guards arrive, but she won't flee until the guards are dead. Sometimes she'll break away with no guards and will flee immediately.
The Burdens We Carry Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not be detected.
1. Take Caterina and set her off to the side before you head downstairs. Take out the two guards guarding the stairs, then go back and pick her up.
2. After you head down the two flights of stairs, you will see three guards run down the hallway. Set Caterina down again and take out the one guard standing guard at the bottom of the stairs.
3. Turn left down the winding staircase and kill the guard down the stairs. When you head back up, take cover behind the wall next to the doorway and kill the third guard as he walks by.
4. Go get Caterina, head down the stairs and turn town the doorway on your right. Turn right again and drop her down the chute. After you jump into the pile of hay, stay hidden and wait for a guard to pass by before pressing X to take him out.
5. Before you pick Caterina up, peek out into the hallway and take out any lurking guards. With Caterina, turn left down the hallway. Set her down again and take out the guard standing in front of the doorway to the right. Pick Caterina up and head through that same doorway.
6. Now outside, turn right and head up the stairs. Set Caterina down and take out the approaching guard before cranking the wheel on the wall to the left. Pick her up and head up the stairs on the other side.
7. Set Caterina down and crank the second wheel. Pick her back up and head for the gate to exit the castle.
Guardian of Forlì Edit
Full Synchronization: Achieve a kill streak of at least 5 guards. (Note: This only counts if the clock is still ticking after getting Caterina across the bridge.)
1. Follow Caterina on horse to exit the castle. After she rides away, get off your horse and fight off the guards for a minute and a half in order to give her enough time to escape.
2. Following the explosion, it will be up to you to flee the guards and become anonymous. When you are in the clear, head for the Assassin’s Guild (the exclamation point on your map) to meet back up with Caterina.
Tip: Be careful, because the guards will always attempt to break your combo by grabbing or attacking you from behind.
Man of The People Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not lose more than 5 health squares.
1. Head for the two cross-shaped icons and help the citizens fight off the surrounding guards. After you help the two citizens in both areas, go and talk to them in order to recruit them.
2. After you have complete the objective, head for the next exclamation point on your map.
Serial Offender Edit
Full Synchronization: Kill your target using the Assassin Recruits.
1. With the aid of the courtesans, follow the blue scope on your map to find Malfatto. When you spot him, summon the Recruits on him, and they'll quickly take him down.
Human Cargo Edit
Full Synchronization: Kill your target using the Assassin Recruits.
1. Head for the yellow scope on your map to find Silvestro. Once you spot him, remember to look at his detection meter and make sure not to get too close or your cover will be blown.
2. Silvestro will eventually lead you to the boy’s mother. When Silvestro is in your sight, summon the Recruits to take him down, then help them fight off the other guards.
3. After the battle, head for the pigeon coop to finish the assignment.
An Unexpected Visitor Edit
1. For this short objective, simply locate the glowing box, which will be just down the stairs and around the corner. You will be reunited with Leonardo. Sit down on the bench that he directs you to sit on and pick your choice of new gadget for him to make for you.
2. Any time you see the white “L” icon on you map, you will find another bench to sit on where Leonardo will meet you and offer you a new gadget. Find the other two white “L’s” to purchase the other two gadgets.
1. Head for the Tiber Island Hideout, where you will meet with your associates La Volpe, Machiavelli, and Catarina Sfortza to discuss the next objective.
2. Use the map located on the table in the central room. It does not matter if you actually do anything with it.
3. Leave the hideout, and the Sequence will end with Catarina riding for Forli.
Sequence 5: The Banker Edit
Escape From Debt Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not be detected while escorting the Senator.
1. Head into the Rosa in Fiore and speak to Claudia.
2. Head back outside and head for the yellow scope on your map to track down Senator Troche. Walk to the back right corner of the area to find Troche getting harassed by a group of guards.
3. Following the cutscene, kill the guards to rescue the Senator. Head for the yellow scope on your map and escort the Senator to safety. Keep in mind that as you travel and encounter guards, this would be a good time to call on Assassins and have them clear a path for you.
4. Once you arrive at your location, Ezio will deem that it is unsafe and you will have to escort him to a different location. This will repeat a few times until Ezio judges the area to be safe.
Tip: Troche cannot easily blend, and luckily he doesn't have to. He follows behind you and is often out of the safe zone for blending, causing him to get attacked often. The guards do not care who you are... as long as you don't get involved. Since you can't actively fight, and the Assassin calls are limited, it's best to take great pains to avoid the sight of the guards. As long as you do not become discovered, you still obtain full sync.
Follow The Money Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not be detected and do not touch the ground while tailing the Senator.
1. Follow the yellow scope on your map to eavesdrop on the Senator’s meeting with the Banker. Once you arrive at the location, climb to the top of the roof to get a bird’s eye view.
2. Stick to the roofs and follow the guard as he carries the money. Remember that any guards that you encounter on the roofs and easily be taken care of by pressing LB or L2 and calling your group of Assassins, or shot with the crossbow.
3. From your viewpoint on the roof, watch the guard carry the money into the building with the Roman pillars. Jump down and head for the left side of the Pantheon. It will be a straight shot to the top, so just climb on up.
4. After you arrive at the apex, jump to grab onto the ledge on the other side. Climb back around to the left and use the tiny footholds to make your way down to the first ring. Simply use a ranged weapon or an air assassination to complete the objective.
Tip: Maintaining visual contact with the Senator is generally very easy, as they're travelling in mostly wide spaces. Watch for cords spanning above streets, you'll probably be crossing them.
When In Rome Edit
Full Synchronization: Arrive at your destination in less than 3 minutes.
1. For this objective you will have to pay close attention to the guards listen for their instructions to get to the Banker’s location. From your initial starting point, turn right through the pillars.
2. Make an immediate left and head down the tiny path just up ahead. Make your first left, follow it around, then make another left. The guards should be saying, “Now we’re on the right track," or "We're making good time."
3. Make a right at the fork, followed by another right. Make your first left, then turn right at the dead end near the horses. Turn left down the stairs. Walk past the pile of hay, leaving it on your left, and head all the way down the this path.
4. After you pass the big building on your left, turn right up the stairs. Turn left and head down the tunnel. Turn right at the pile of hay, then right again. Make your first left down the stairs. Walk past the pile of hay and continue over the bridge to finally reach the objective, a pair of armoured guards at the far side of the bridge.
Tip: No news is good news. If they aren't talking, you're going the right way; they will speak up the moment you step out of line. You can use high profile to make things go quicker, but slow it down at intersections, if you're running the wrong way, they'll get suspicious very fast.
In and Out Edit
Full Synchronization: Kill the Banker from a bench without being detected.
1. Turn right to follow the carrier. Blend in with the group of courtesans on the right to stay hidden. Once the money changes hands at the steps, follow the new carrier. Use the piles of hay in this grassy area to stealthily take out guards along the way.
2. Grab another group of courtesans to ensure you stay hidden as you follow the target icon located above the Banker. Hop in the pile of hay and kill the nearby guard. Move around to the left corner of the area and have this new group of courtesans follow you straight ahead.
3. Sit down on the bench to the left and wait for the Banker to pass. When he does, assassinate him. Turn around, stand up on the ledge and jump down into the pile of hay below.
4. Hop out, turn right and climb up the building. Move around to the right, swing across the pole and jump into the street to complete the objective.
5. ACHIEVEMENT: Head for the next exclamation point to complete the final objective of the sequence and earn the Fundraiser Achievement.
Tips: The Banker seems to keep to the far side of the party, which results in you having to cross in front of no less than four guards as well as the Banker and his bodyguard in order to reach the bench he does cross. Move from crowd to bench to courtesans to avoid the suspicion of the standing guard, then hire the courtesans and try to walk over to the bench on the other side. Some courtesans will break off to lure guards away, but you still should be able to get to the bench undetected.
Paper Trail Edit
1. Return to the Rosa in Fiore to discover that Borgia guards had visited the bordello, while Claudia and Maria were inside. Run inside and see what has become of little sister.
Sequence 6: The Baron De Valois Edit
Gatekeeper Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not take any damage.
1. As soon as this objective begins, run past the entryway and throw a smoke bomb to distract the guards before turning the first of three wheels. Look for the white scopes on your map to find the other two and repeat this process.
2. With the gates lowered, head back to the original spot and help kill the remaining French soldiers. There will be a lot, so you can also call on your team of Assassin’s for some extra help.
3. Hop on your horse and follow Bartolomeo to the French camp to complete the objective.
Tip: This can be quite difficult, as anybody around you can and likely will start hitting you while you're trying to close the gate. Use a smoke bomb or an Arrow Storm just before you turn the wheel. Best to avoid fighting at all.
French Kiss Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not be detected.
1. In order to complete a full synchronization of this objective you need to kill 20 soldiers without being detected. The quickest and easiest way to do this is to find the group of mercenaries (look for the dagger icon above their heads) and send them in to do the fighting. Another option, if you can do it, is to get close to the wall without being seen and cause an Arrow Storm, which will kill a good half of what you need instantly.
Trojan Horse Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not lose any health squares. (not to be confused with "Do not take damage." You can't lose a full square)
1. Stay in middle of the pack of the mercenaries in order to stay disguised. Move ahead of the pack and kill targets in each area before the timer runs out.
Au Revoir Edit
Full Synchronization: Finish the mission in less than 5 minutes.
1. After you reach the gates, use your axe to fight off the Baron’s men. They will be heavily armored, so the axe would be the best way to maximize your damage against them with each hit.
2. Climb up the nearby wall and cross the rooftops to make your way to the yellow scope on your map. Once you reach it, drop down and kill the four guards. Again, they’ll be heavily armored and your axe would be your best choice of weapon.
3. Walk up the stairs and crank the wheel to your left to open the gate. After you enter through the gates, head around the path to the left. Use you gun to kill the guard and continue down the path.
4. ACHIEVEMENT: Do not let the Baron see you, or it's over. Once you get to the corner, kill the guard up the short set of steps. Climb up the wall just ahead and assassinate the Baron down below to complete the sequence and earn the Forget Paris Achievement.
Tip: You can make things go faster by either fighting dirty (Smoke bombs, Recruits) or by avoiding conflict whenever possible.
Sequence 7: The Key To The Castello Edit
Head into the Thieves Guild. Once you head through the door, walk over to the daggers stuck in the wall.
Patching The Leak Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not drop below 5 health squares.
1. For the first part of this objective, simply defend the Guild by killing off all of the attacking guards. For the second part, hop on the nearby horse and follow La Volpe. Once you find the thief, hop off your horse and kill the guards.
2. You will have to find two more thieves and rescue them from attacking guards to complete the objective. After you have done so, head for the next exclamation point on your map.
Tip: This gets easier the more health you have. Be sure to heal before you health gets dangerously low.
Calling All Stand-Ins Edit
Full Synchronization: Use Assassin Recruits to assassinate your targets.
1. Make your way over toward the yellow scope on your map to locate Micheletto. Following the cutscene, hop on the horse and follow Micheletto. Once he gets off his horse, continue to follow.
2. Micheletto will walk to his destination to meet with his associates, but once he is there, you're given the freedom to take your time in case you need to fight off guards that likely spotted you getting this close. Only Micheletto need not discover you. When you get closer to Micheletto, he will speak to his comrades.
3. After he hands the costume to the guards, call your Assassins again to have them kill the guards. Do this quickly and continue to follow Micheletto.
4. Micheletto delivers costumes to three sets of compatriots before heading to the Colosseum. If you can't find a horse once Micheletto moves on, call one quickly.
Exit Stage Right Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not kill anyone other than the gunmen.
1. Head over to the left and begin your assent of the Colosseum towards the checkpoint light. Use the wooden gate to left to get up and continue up to the top.
2. Once you get to the top, turn left and head around the brim. Drop down to reach the checkpoint. Jump off the ledge down into the pile of hay. Head through the small opening to the right and head down the step.
3. Go around the Colosseum, a level above the guards, using either ranged attacks or Assassin Recruits to finish them quickly without breaking stride.
4. Jump across the opening onto the rope. Drop down and walk toward the checkpoint. Disguised as a guard, head around to the left and onto the next checkpoint.
5. In order not to raise suspicions, use your Eagle Vision and walk toward the white light to find your correct position in the play. The first one will be located out in front of the steps before the stage.
6. When the timer starts again, use your Eagle Vision and head over to the white light to the left. The next one will be located in front of the steps to the right. From there, use your Eagle Vision again to locate Micheletto on stage and assassinate him.
Intervention Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not swim.
1. Carry Pietro and head out the Colosseum toward the yellow scope to reach a doctor. After you drop Pietro off, chase down the thief and tackle him. When the four guards block your way, run around them, summon Assassins, or drop a smoke bomb to get through them without breaking stride.
2. Use smoke to distract the guards that are chasing you from behind. As soon as you catch up and tackle the thief, race across town to find La Volpe before the timer runs out. Remember that in order to get a full synchronization you cannot swim.
3. ACHIEVEMENT: Head over to the Guild (the exclamation point) to complete the sequence and receive the Bloody Sunday Achievement.
Tips: Use your map, if you have to, and head for the bridges onto Tiber Island. Stick to the streets, the level playing field will keep you moving quickly, just don't mow down a guard.
Sequence 8: The Borgia Edit
Head into the Castello through the front door to begin the sequence.
Full Synchronization: Do not be detected.
1. Head straight and run up the stack of the crates. Take out the guard below and to the right before swinging across the poles. Cross the second set of beams to get to the other side.
2. Jump up the ledge and take out the passing guard. Take out the next guard around the turn, then jump up the barrels and grab onto the ledge. Make your way through the opening to the right and reach the checkpoint.
3. Turn right down the long pathway. Take out the guard on the roof to the left, then jump across to the roof over the gap. Take out the guard down and to the right, then head down that path.
4. Get up on the ledge to the left and jump across to the roof on the other side. Jump back across to the nearest pole, then swing across the series of poles. Make your way all the way across to the building, then climb up and take out the guard.
5. Drop down to the roof below, call on your Assassin friends to take out the group of guard below, then jump into the hay. Make your way up the winding staircase and open the secret door.
6. Once inside, head down the pathway and jump up the pile of crates to the left of the double doors. Jump up to the ledge, move over to the door and jump across to the ledge on the right wall. Jump out to the pole and then across to the plank.
7. Jump up to grab onto the ledge above and move all the way around the wall to the right. Drop down onto the plank and swing across the pole to the platform on the other side.
8. Carefully walk across the beam and jump out onto the plank. Drop down so that you are hanging on the plank and move across to the corner. Move around the corner and pull yourself up onto the next ledge.
9. Continue along the wall and move out onto the plank when you reach it. Swing across to the platform and jump up to grab the ledge in the opening in the ceiling. Move around to the left and jump up. Wait for the guard to pass before performing a stealth attack and finally making it to the top.
10. Take out the guard downstairs. Make your way down and to the left. Head down the all and up the stairs. Hit the checkpoint through the double doors and head up the stairs.
11. Kill the two guards in the room to the left (on downstairs, one up on the balcony). Climb up the bookcase and make you way onto the balcony. Take out the guard near the checkpoint, then head through the window.
12. Drop down to the lower ledge and make your across to the right. Continue to make your way across and jump up to the round window with the light when you reach it.
Tips: As with your previous trip to the Castello, be aware that just because they face you doesn't mean they see you. Pick off lone guards with the crossbow before they have time to react to your presence, and watch patrol routes carefully. It's best not to leave a body where a friend might come along.
An Apple a Day Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not kill anyone.
1. Jump up to the next window and around to the area on the right. Since you can’t kill anyone in order to receive a full synchronization, make your way over to the ledge when the guards aren’t looking.
2. Drop down to the windows and make your way over to the right. Drop down to the area on the right. Head over to the roof and jump across the the windowsill.
3. Head down the two flights of stairs, then turn right into the hallway and right again down the stairs. Step up the pile of crates to the right, then wall run up and jump out to the plank on the left.
4. Jump up through the opening. Run past the guard and sprint up the spiral staircase. Once you reach the top, turn left and jump off of the huge ledge. Run past the guards and continue straight down the path.
5. Run straight and jump off the tower and into the water. Swim to the left. Climb up the wall and use smoke to get away from the guards. Head straight down the main street, but keep in mind that you will need to become anonymous before entering the Basilica.
6. Once you become anonymous, enter through the double doors and into the courtyard of the Basilica. Use your Eagle Vision to locate the hiding place, the great statue in the center. Interact with it to finish the objective.
- This is considered by many to be the most difficult mission of the game.
Tips: The guard above where Cesare slips your grasp is practically blind. He will stand at the ledge and not move, and you can simply climb up directly next to him and walk around him; if you don't run, he won't notice you. Once you jump down into the haystack, all bets are mostly off, as the entire city will come after you in unison. Hide as best you can, but also know that permanently hiding is never an option. Keep to the rooftops to slow pursuers, and the guards chasing you should be well behind you by the time you reach the Basilica.
The Apple of Eden Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not lose any health.
1. With the Apple in hand, you cannot use tools, nor weapons. Since using the Apple drains health, you can't use it, either. Head for the front door, but do not run straight at it. Loop around it so that you will run around the guards that come in there. As soon as your out of the building, head towards the right, up some stairs. Run along that path and you'll get a quick route to the rooftops, which is absolutely essential. Keep moving forward, take quick routes, and try not to get too close to the archers. When you see water, get to it quick. Once in the water, you can keep diving and moving (don't stay under too long or you'll get stuck trying to catch your breath) until you're out free.
Demilitarization Edit
1. Head for the yellow scope on the map. Once you arrive, test out the Apple by using it against Cesare’s men. Keep in mind that the Apple’s power will reduce a crazy amount of health.
2. Take out the five targets to complete the objective.
Seeing Red Edit
1. Head for the yellow scope on the map. Once you arrive, head around back to find the Cardinal. Follow him to the Colosseum. Kill the first two targets, then kill the remaining Borgia soldiers.
All Roads Lead To... Edit
1. Confront Cesare by heading to the center area. With the power of the Apple, the task of killing all of his guards shouldn’t be too difficult. Once they are all dead, head for the huge gate.
2. ACHIEVEMENT: Following your conversation with Leonardo, you will have completed the seuqence and earned the Vittoria Agli Assassini Achievement.
Sequence 9: The Fall Edit
Pax Romana Edit
Full Synchronization: Do not drop below 5 health squares
1. After you stab Cesare, fight off the guards. Following the cutscene, hop on the horse and head for the yellow scope on your map. After you get thrown off of your horse, continue on foot and don’t bother dealing with the guards that you run by.
2. Once you reach the checkpoint, head over the wall, up the stacks of crates and swing across the poles to avoid dealing with the guards. Continue up into the next area and get to the checkpoint.
3. Climb to the top of the fallen tower just in front of the last checkpoint. After you have jumped off, use the lift to the right to get on top of the roof. Take out the guard and make your way across the roofs to reach the castle. Try not to be spotted by a large group of guards, otherwise, you will have to become anonymous before moving on.
4. Sprint up the stairs and climb up the next tower. Once you reach the top, sprint to the next checkpoint. Boss time! You finally get to fight Cesare. As you fight him, guards will come to his aid. Once the guards are dispatched, you'll notice Cesare's guard drops significantly and you can press the offensive. Once he's lost enough health, you'll try for his neck again, each time stripping off more of his armor. Finally, when he is whittled down enough you will finish the job.
Tip: If you managed to get the Armor of Brutus, this will be easier. Avoid battle, since you are pressed to move forward anonymously. And have high quality weapons, the Sword of Altaïr and the Dagger of Brutus are the best options, and when in comes to fight with Cesare be aggresive and concentrate only on Cesare, only use counter attacks against the other guards . Heal often to keep your health higher than 5.
With Cesare finally dead, The Apple of Eden has been secured within the vault beneath the Colosseum.
2012 - Colosseo Edit
1. Now back as Desmond, head up the series of stairs out of the sanctuary. Hold the head button (Y or ) to use your Eagle Vision when the screen prompts you to do so in order to find the hidden password.
2. After you arrive at the Colosseum, jump across the two wooden planks and then down to ground level. Turn back around and head through the opening. Climb up the high wall with the high-voltage sign, then jump across to the adjacent wall.
3. Move around to the left and jump across the planks. Cross the series of beams and make sure not to fall down. One you arrive at the opening with the swinging planter, jump out to it and swing around to the right.
4. Jump to the left and make your way over to the high-voltage sign. Drop down to ground level. Step on the stone to the right and jump up to grab onto the opening in the wall.
5. Climb up the steps of stones and make your way over to the pole. Swing across to the beam, then jump across the two planks. Swing across the two hanging planters, then drop down to ground level.
6. Climb the high-voltage sign at the end of the pathway, then jump back towards the screen to get on top of the tiny bridge. Make your way across the beam and travel up and over the stones in the center of the area.
7. Swing across the poles and after you reach the high-voltage sign, move to the left through the tiny opening in the wall. Jump across to the next ledge, then drop down onto the tiny bridge. Make your way across this long path by swinging across poles and jumping across planks.
8. Once you reach the final beam, jump out to the right and cross the other two beams before dropping down. Climb up the high-voltage sign on the left, the jump across to the adjacent wall. Jump over, then leap across to the ledge.
9. Make your way across the construction area and use the lift at the end. Cross the beams before heading onto the ledge on the right, then jump off the edge with the birds.
10. Walk to the pillar on the left and press any button to push the button. Walk over to the pillar on the other side and do the same. After you get through the door, Jump up the boxes to the left and grab onto the ledge. Jump across to the opening and out towards the ledge.
11. Move over to the right and cross the series of beams. When you reach the final beam, jump toward the cage on the right wall. Make your way over to the beam, jump to the pole and swing down to ground level.
12. Use Eagle Vision when the screen prompts you, then press the buttons on the two pillars. Climb to the top of the area to meet up with the others.
13. Run straight across the steps and follow the light-outlined figure up to the top of the crucifix. Jump across and pull down the lever. Walk over to the left and jump across the two flags, then down onto the railing.
14. Jump out and grab onto the hanging fixture, then jump to the hanging bar to the left. Pull yourself up, jump across to the next bar, then jump across the next two hanging fixtures.
15. Make your way back across to the right and jump to the golden lever to create an opening. Continue to swing across the series of bars until you reach the wall. Jump out to the hanging bar on your right, then again to the other hanging fixture.
16. Jump across these to reach the center structure. Pull the lever with the help of the lighted figure. Jump down and swing across the series of bars to reach the ground. After you join the others, press any button to reveal a secret underground lair.
17. Walk down the steps on the left, then up the stairs on the other side. Walk down the hidden tunnel after the door opens. Drop down off of the ledge and approach the control panel and press any button.
18. Jump over to the golden lever on the right and pull down on either one to create a pathway for you to cross. Complete this two more times to create a bridge to the Apple. Simply look for the higher platform each time you jump and keep in mind that you might have to backtrack a few times.
19. Run up the bridge, grab the Apple and witness the ending.
The Da Vinci Disapearance
Intro
The Da Vinci Disappearance is the first downloadable content package for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, released on March 8, 2011. It's priced at 800 Microsoft Points which is equal to $10. The DLC adds 10 new trophies and achievements which you can find in the achievements/trophies section at the end of this guide. The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC includes new single-player content, four new multiplayer avatars, two new multiplayer modes, and one new multiplayer map.
This guide was created by Hector Madrigal (AKA Hardcore Hector/hXc Hector). The content in this guide covers The Da Vinci Disappearance mainly, plus a few updates to multiplayer that came out before this DLC. If you want information on the main game, you can view my other guide HERE. It covers multiplayer mostly, but there are many single player tips.
Single Player Walkthrough
The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC will start when you reach the "restored memory" location on the map. After each memory you must find another restored memory to continue.

A Roll of the Dice
Find Leonardo's Assistant, Salai, at the Thieves Guild and bring him back to Leonardo's Workshop.
Full Sync: Do not drop below 4 health squares.
You should be instantly transported to the thieves guild. Enter to find Salai, but be prepared for a fight! Walk up to the men playing a dice game to start the next cutscene. The fight is after the scene. After that, Salai will run to the next location. The game doesn't allow you to use a tunnel, so you must ride a horse all the way back into town. You may run into some guards on the way. If the guards are on horse back, lock onto them and steal the horse. Do this five times to unlock an achievement/trophy. The guards may take your horse, allowing you to steal it back again.
Meet back up with Salai and make your way back to Leonardo's Workshop. Try to avoid any fights to get back to the shop faster. When you reach the shop, a cutscene will automatically play.
Walk to the next restored memory location at the North end of town to enter the next memory.
The One Who Got Away
Infiltrate Belriguardo Palazzo to find Lucrezia Borgia and discover the locations of the stolen Villa paintings.
Full Sync: Do not kill anyone.
This mission requires tons of stealth. If you are even detected, you will lose synchronization. You can read the following guide, or you can view a video on getting past this mission HERE.
Start by jumping to the left into a bail of hay.

Exit the hay and climb the building straight forward. Enter the building via the opening to the right

When inside the building, grab the rope hanging down on the left side. It will swing you left onto some wooden planks. Jump forward, go right, and jump forward again until you reach another hay bail.

Exit the hay bail and run to the other side of the building. Climb up the platform and jump across the wood sticks. Catch the swinging rope to swing right. Enter the next part of the building for a checkpoint.

The next part should be easy enough. Jump across the barrel shelves to the next area. A small bit of dialogue will play among the crowd. Make your way across the top until you jump down into a room. You can find some loot in the dark dead end tunnel. Climb up the wall to the left and jump backwards to a wooden platform to make it to the next area.

You can assassinate some guards up ahead, but if you want full synchronization, don't do it! Jump down behind the guards and climb up a little box like thing.

You can back jump to some wooden poles to make it to the next area. It's pretty straight forward.
Eventually, you'll reach a gate with some greenery on the outside.

Jump to the ruined brick above the gate. Do a back jump to reach the other side. Climb to the right to exit out, then back jump to the garden area. Jump across the fountains in the garden area and walk towards the door to start up another cutscene.

At the end of the cutscene, you'll need to escape before the time limit runs out. Remember not to kill anyone if you want full synchronization. Run outside and take any short cuts you can. The end will have you performing a leap of faith to the first painting.
The next memory is at the North East end of town. Actually it's not part of town.
Memento Mori
Tail Lucrezia's old flame, Patrizio, to find the Leonardo painting she gave him in memory of their love.
Full Sync: Do not use the rooftops during the tail.
This should be fairly easy. Follow Patrizio without walking on the rooftops. If others look towards you, or if Partizio looks your direction, hide among groups of people. Don't forget about the gentle push button when walking. Don't get too close, but don't get too far. If you lose sight of your target for 30 seconds, you will have to start over.
When Patrizio walks past some guards, find another route around. The first set of guards will have an alley way to the left. You can kill any guards as long as it's out of sight from other guards and Patrizio. There were two guards for me in this alleyway. The second set of guards will be next to an alleyway to the right, up some stairs. Patrizio should be headed that direction anyways. The third set will be much tougher. Walk to the left of the guards, down some stairs. Go down the street until you can make a right to the path where Patrizio was walking. He will turn back towards you, so make sure you have an escape route and any crowds to hide in. Follow him until you reach a cutscene.
After the scene you will chase down the man with the painting. You have infinite time, but you must be close to him or the memory will end. You can run on rooftops now, but there are guards on the rooftops. Chase him or cut him off, then kill him. You can also get close enough for a lock on to shoot him. Once you have the painting, leave the Vatican district to end the memory.
The next memory starts at the door of a building South of the last memory.
Bon Voyage
Recover Leonardo's Paintings before the merchant sails away with them.
Full Sync: Do not be detected by the robbed disciples.
Run down to the docks for the beginning of this mission, but do not be detected by any of the guards on the way. Either jump from roof to roof stealth-like, or walk within the crowds. Getting caught by the guards on the rooftops does not count against the full sync challenge. At the docks you will find Duccio. Fight him and his gang after a cutscene, but do not kill them. Duccio will run away a few times during the fight to get more friends to help him out. Defeat him and his friends 4 times to find out the location of the other three paintings.
One of the paintings is on a boat not far from your current location. The boat is surrounded by robbed disciples, the ones you're not supposed to be detected by! There are three off the boat and a lot more on the boat. Use an arrow storm on the men on the boat, but make sure you're not near the boat or they may come after you. The other men will run off looking for your Assassins. Run on boat and take the painting to end the memory.
The next memory is to the West. Talk to the courtesans to start the memory.
Last Minute Invite
Retrieve the invitation to the art exhibition inside the nobleman's courtyard without getting caught. Full Sync: Do not let guards discover any dead bodies inside the restricted area.
Meet up with the courtesans near the dock. They will show you where the invitation is. The invitation is inside a red box in a restricted area. Grab it without being detected. You can assassinate anyone, but make sure their bodies aren't seen either. Remember, you have the ability to pick up bodies and hide them. The easiest way is to walk around and enter from the North. Hire the courtesans in that area to help you into the restricted area and to distract the guards. Loot the red box and a cutscene will play.
Your next objective is to tackle the courier before he arrives at his destination. Some robbed men will try to get between you and your target. The target will run into the Vatican area. Try and get him before that happens. Run directly to the right along the water area, instead of following him. You should cut him off at the bridge before he reaches the safe zone. Escape and become anonymous to end the memory.
The next memory starts at the bridge. Talk to the courtesans.
The Ezio Auditore Affair
Locate Leonardo's Paintings at the art exposition and mark them while remaining undetected.
Full Sync: Do not use any type of ranged weaponry
Use your eagle vision to locate the paintings, they will glow yellow. You cannot walk up to them and mark them, however, they are under guard supervision. Use dead bodies to distract everyone. Walk up behind a guard and poison him. Walk away and watch him fall to the ground. The other guards should become distracted, allowing you to mark the first painting. Using courtesans work too. Whatever you do, just make sure you have enough time to mark the painting.
After the first painting, the upper floors will open. Enter the middle circular building, but stay in the crowds. This area is restricted so you must keep hidden. Enter the building and look down the hall. A man will walk back and forth. Poison him and hide while he goes crazy. It's also possible to assassinate him while hidden with the Cardinals. When it's possible, walk down the hall to find a room with a hay bale. Climb the wall that's next to the hay bale to enter the upper floor. Assassinate the guard at the top and drop his body in the hay bale. There will be another guard around the corner. Take a left and you'll find him at the next left. He will move around so look out. The next guard is at the top of the first set of stairs. He will walk down the hall to the right.
Walk up the last set of stairs out of the dungeon like area, then walk up a set of stairs to the left to earn another checkpoint and find the second painting. There will be a room full of paintings and one guard. Take him out, but not with a ranged weapon! Get close to him to assassinate him, then mark the last painting. Escape the Castello to end the memory. Walk up the stairs and parachute off the top, if you have a parachute. If not, walk back down from the path you came up. The gates will be closed. Instead of going through the gates, climb up some scaffolds on the North Wall. Find an area to jump off the wall into the river to end the memory.
The next memory starts at Leonardo's Workshop.
Decoding Da Vinci
Piece Leonardo's hidden drawing back together to discover the entrance to the catacombs containing the Pythagorean temple.
Full Sync: Discover the location of the catacombs in under 5:00
The 5 minute timer starts immediately. Use your eagle vision and find clues on the paintings. The clues will be white markings. Zoom in and click the identify button to confirm the locations. After you found the locations on all the paintings, you must construct the map. You may need to rotate the pieces to fit them in place. You will not have all the pieces. These images are for the paintings and the map:

The next memory is just outside of town to the East, inside a sewer.
The Temple of Pythagoras
Enter the catacombs to find Leonardo and free him from his captors.
Full Sync: Do not lose any health squares.
The catacomb seems pretty straight forward. If you don't wish to read this guide to navigate the area, you can view a video HERE. There are tips in the written section of this guide for keeping all your health squares, since there is one big fight.
The first section is a straight shot into the water. You will see a small scene once you hit the water. Climb up to a stone column and move to the right across a crack. Climb up the column to the right and do a back jump. Climb up the stone structure you jumped to and you will see your path. Do a few quick jumps from stone to stone and bar to bar.
At the end of the path will be a cutscene and a fight. This is where you can lose a health square and ruin your chance at full synchronization. Try to attack first and chain all your kills together. If one of them hits you, you could lose a square and your shot at full sync. Don't forget about counter attacks. If they grab you, try to counter grab. Walk up to Leonardo and assassinate the man that took him.
Your next objective will be to find the final room and secret. Walk down until you reach a giant shrine. Interact with it to drop a huge stone square. Climb up the stone square and climb up the column to the right. Jump to the right of the column to reach the next interactive piece.

Next, jump to the center shrine and make your way around it to find holes going upward. Climb up the holes and do a back jump to the next ledge. Jump straight forward towards the area where the first stone square fell. Make your way around to the next interactive spot as shown in this image:

Enter the newly opened door and make your way downward. After a small scene, climb up the wall opposite the entrance. Do a back jump at the top to reach some wooden planks. Jump from plank to plank to reach a stone face. Jump on the stone face to activate something. Jump to the right next. Move towards a damage stone piece. When you reach this piece, jump to the right. Move down this next area until you see the next stone face. Do a back jump to reach the stone face. From the face, jump to the right onto some stone columns. You will need to do a few quick jumps from one spot to another. Grab a few hanging plants to swing around. The jumps will end next to the face. Jump to the face to open the next door.
Go down to the final room before the center, as Leonardo says. This room has tons of columns. Walk up to the broken down wall near the entrance.

Climb up and jump to the right to interact with a lever. Jump across the platforms and columns to reach the next interactive spot.

Next, jump across a few platforms to the third lever. Then jump across a platform, climb up a column, and jump across a few more platforms to reach the fourth lever.

Make your way down to the bottom for a cutscene that ends the DLC. The ending may vary depending on the completion of the main game.
